Any members in the Birmingham, Alabama area?

Erie best company in the country for pressure washing. Problem is that they’re not in a lot of states. Lot of my friends in NC have, but we can’t get in SC.

I sure hope they write policies for Indiana. I’ve been calling some local companies and just get a flat NO when I mention pressure washing.I actually started my new company 2 weeks ago,put up a website, contacted a lot of current customers,so that they know that the pressure washing will be under the new company.Got a lot of positive input.Taking thing slow, will still run my other company but try to put a lot more focus on the PW. It’s nice to have the maintenance company for winters.Doing a couple of houses a day during the other 3 seasons would be really nice.

Well if anyone knows of any good policies in Alabama, hit a guy up.

Check with shelter insurance.

I was able to get Ted with Farmers to find me a policy. It’s with Blackboard an AIG company. I live near Montgomery. Millbrook to be exact. $552 a year. But I was told that I have the policy for just this year because the company is not doing insurance in Alabama anymore after December 31st. But will honor any previous policies issued.

On a side note. Is there anyone here I can send my electronic copy of the policy to that can help me make sure I’m covered correctly? What me and the agent may have talked about isn’t the same as what’s in the policy. Like my equipment coverage… There is a place where it says “no one item more than $500” well my pressure washing machine is roughly $1,500-1,600 by itself to replace. So I guess I’m just screwed there. I tried emailing the agent back about this particular part but have not heard back. I assume it’s because of holidays.

It should be a separate policy for equipment. It would be an inland marine policy

It looks to be in the general liability policy.

$500 and under is included. if you want additional coverage you have to purchase marine inland like Kps said

I wouldn’t purchase marine inland unless I had about 15K in equipment ( that’s just me though)

I understand that. It’s just the particular part where no one item can be over $500 that gets me. Doesn’t really do my any good.

Everything else but the trailer and actual machine can be replaced for under $500 each. My total rig to replace would be in the 3-4k range. And that’s kind of covered except the per item limit.

Trailer should be added to your auto commercial policy. Your deductible should be close to $500 on tools and equipment. If you get your washer, surface cleaner and tool box stolen you will happily pay $500 bucks to get your $1500. $500 is your per item max. Take plenty of video of your stuff and keep receipts. Your equipment will get better and more valuable by July!

Your policy you purchased is for liability…not equipment

I told Ted to include equipment.

Inland marine policies are based on equipment costs. Make sure you’re covered for replacement cost and not acv (actual cash value) depending on premium cost it may not be worth it depending on what you have. I have over 25k in my trailer set up so $75. Per month is a no brainer. That’s separate from my GL policy
