Well, my point, even though I didn’t make it properly and I have never used any type of dish detergent mixed with bleach to wash houses or anything else for that matter…was…that bleach has been mixed with ammonia based detergents and used outside by a lot of people and has never hurt them…he is not the only one to ever do this. I also said that he knows better now and has no excuse to continue the practice…that point still stands. And, my point about some people leaning toward the dramatic…to say the least, in this case…still stands, too. To point out that this is a dangerous thing to do is totally understandable…to go off the freakin’ rail about this, AFTER THE FACT and after he said that he had already learned not to do it…well, that is completely ridiculous.
Please don’t let the words of one or two posters shape your view of the forum as a whole. Stick around, ask questions when you have trouble finding the answers, and keep up the good work. Sorry you had such a lousy reception.
I hear ya and agree. Just the lack of care after the fact is what led me to point out the ignorance. I could have kept that comment to myself now that I look back at it lol.
I suspect the amount of ammonia in Ajax is so small compared to the 87.5% water/bleach mix and further dilution with downstreaming it wouldn’t be enough to “get a lungful” of gas.
Now if I poured ammonia and bleach together and huffed the contents, we may have a problem, Houston.

Oh, and @dcbrock, if you ds mix on a house, and before rinsing decide to hop behind a bush to pee, and that diluted ds mix mixes with urine, it is enough to slightly burn your eyes, nose and throat. Albeit, not strong enough to send you to the e.r., but enough to let you know it’s there. I know, as I did it by mistake when I was a rookie at 18. Now, spill a pee jug in an enclosed trailer, right where you spilt sh, and there’s a real good chance you’re not coming out of there until they find you.
