24 year Window Cleaner looking to jump into Pressure Washing

Funny thing is, I’m really not even competing directly with other pressure washers. I’m mainly dealing with DIY retirees that take pride in tiger striping their driveways.

Seriously, these people are very satisfied with their messed up work. They get uber offended when I ask if they’d like to get the concrete cleaned, “I already did it”.

Market yourself as the home detail specialist. The difference between me and most of the other companies around here is a lot of the pressure washing companies are maintenance companies that do other things like painting, fixing doors, landscaping and all this other crap that doesn’t have anything to do with Pressure washing. Powerclean does one thing, details homes to perfection (or any other pressure washing, soft washing or window detail needs). A lot of the times these big companies have a guy who’s more like a handyman who just knows how to pressure wash he’s not exactly an “expert”. I almost wanted to put something on my website saying something like “we’re not the cheapest but we’re the best” basically trying to qualify the customers and get rid of the people who don’t want to pay for a premium service, but my wife talked me out of it. All you need is a couple jobs per week your not trying to break into the major market like a big box store feeding a monster. Keep at it man!

Time to start targeting the neighborhoods where most don’t even own a pressure washer because they would rather just hire everything done.

That’s the creepy thing about this place, even the ‘upscale’ people run out and buy a washer because it’s ‘satisfying’ to pressure wash their driveway. Therapy from their day job apparently.

Granted they don’t wash their house with one, although I get a lot of corporate types ask me if I’ve “tried Wet And Forget” that seems so popular lately.

Get outts my frickin yard and sneakin pics Grunt.giphy

I have been asked about that several times. Almost like some weird upscale obsession.
