Unloader bypass not flowing water

Hey guys, first post and i searched around and didnt see this question answered anywhere. apologies if it has i just couldnt find it.

I recently built my own trailer, been in business a couple years and decided to bypass my unloader. Got it all plumbed up and fired it up, everything works as it should except the unloader. When it kicks on, I get no water flowing through the bypass line. Open the gun, pressure works fine shoots properly no leaks etc. but then when i let off the gun, the unloader engages but no water flows through the bypass line back to the tank. I am baffled at this point.

Running water from the buffer tank, had this issue so then I bypassed the tank and ran straight from the house thinking maybe the pump was choking the line from the buffer tank, and still had the same issue, water was steady flowing from the house to the pump but when the unloader engaged, no water flowed through the bypass line. pics of setup below.

if its as you say, the pump would kill the engine when off the trigger because waterpressure has no where to go.

any idea as to what could be going on? I am at wits end, it makes no sense

How did you set the unloader?

I didnt, it came on the machine as is.

post a video of everything. I myself would think if not bypassing it would kill engine

Does the pump make adequate pressure? If not you may have a check valve issue………

Not letting me attach the video but it worked when I got home today. Didn’t do anything different but it’s flowing water in all directions and everything is operating as it should. Thanks everyone for helping, sorry this was dumb and I was being an idiot.
