Residential Business Plan input

Adding that to my list of tactics for dealing with current competitors. :joy:

Pay per click can get expensive fast I donā€™t use it, because all the really big guys over use it. Rates vary by profession, town and can change overnight depending on how many people are using it. TO USE PAY PER CLICK. You have to sign up with Google ad sense. Then watch a ton of YouTube videos about pay per click. Run some small campaigns until, you figure it outā€¦ I personally donā€™t do it the ROI is just not there in my area. A good FB campaign would probably show you better results if you are good at making a simple, effective ad and you know who your target audience is. Mesage me your number and ill call you tomorrow after noon. I hate typing.

Some good PPC advice for ya.

In this industry, your PPC ROI is hard to figure out. Your return is hard to measure and not gonna be worth it. This really is a word of mouth industry and the best marketing strategies are doing a great job and on the ground marketing. Websites make your name known, they donā€™t necessarily get you jobs. Not to say that they donā€™t, but a flyer handed out at an event or a word of mouth reference will go much further.

As for @Innocentbystander, I understand that we all need to take life less seriously, but a lot of people donā€™t. Some people are looking for a new livelihood, like me, and need every bit of help they can get. Every minute, hour, and day that they donā€™t get jobs, they arenā€™t making money to feed their family and pay their bills. I wonā€™t ever say that the things you advise people to do are wrong. Itā€™s just that most of the new guys on here, including myself, need better equipment. But we know we canā€™t get better, at the moment, and just need answers for what we have. Thatā€™s the only point Iā€™ve ever been trying to make. I donā€™t want anyone to think that Iā€™m just being an asshole for what Iā€™m saying. Iā€™m just being impatient because time can be of the essence, like it is with me, for some people. My bills are paid. But it would make life so much easier if I could make more and this industry is where I, and many others, are planting our roots. Thatā€™s why we decided to join a resource community. We need advice. We really donā€™t need a bunch of crazy, smart ass remarks. If you want to throw it in while helping out a little, hell yeah. But a straight up smart ass remark doesnā€™t help us and discourages us from making future posts. Thatā€™s all Iā€™ve ever tried to get across.

Itā€™s working. Your calming down with your replies and your advice on marketing was a good show of faith. Understand that for those here that feed their family from this industry, they want to see it grow as a profession with standards. We want customers to see professional looking guys, with training, and professional equipment when they pay high end prices. Someone with a thousand dollars worth of equipment and internet training bidding the same job, taking twice as long and charging half as much doesnā€™t really help. Maybe thatā€™s not you but you came here with questions and a $500 budget. I personally donā€™t care if every second, minute or hour someone isnā€™t handed free advice worded in such a way that they arenā€™t offended by it causes them to not make money. Mom said ā€œyou may want horns but youā€™ll die buttheadedā€. If someone has kids and canā€™t pay their bills, call me. Iā€™ll send money for children to eat. Other than that, you are on a free forum and you get what you get at no cost to you other than extra words to read. If thatā€™s to much trouble for free advice, join the pwra, pay real money and join there facebook page. Or pound sand. Iā€™d suggest absorbing all the free info you could and quit being petty but you donā€™t seem to listen to my advice lol. I wish you luck, especially if you have a family to support.

@rmcmurry you are correct the market here is very saturated and new companies are popping up all the time. Most of them will fail and be out of business in less than a year. Save yourself a lot of money and heartache and just come work for me.

@rmcmurry If you really want to be in this business, ditch your partner, work for an established company for a year, move to Wake Forest like Innocent said, and youā€™ll be light years ahead of your competitors. Youā€™d be silly not to take this opportunity.
