Hoses for 12v pump

That’s the thing if not a PVC tube it wouldn’t be worth testing out, it fails right out of the gate. Cole Palmer has a chemical compatibility chart you should check out and there are a few others out there. If you want replace it every 3 months sure lets test it. Kidding of course

You’re welcome and to add, good AG hose will last you 4-6 years. More if you keep it covered from the sun as much as possible.

Just for giggles since no one has, I think I’ll get a 100’ one just to test heck iv wasted $50 just going out to eat with wife. :joy: I’ll be sure to post results

You ever experiment with the flexzilla for chemical line?

@910b9221d717262ce7a2 no I ended up going another route.

What route . I’m asking because eim about to pull trigger on 5850 Pt kit tomorrow and I think I’m gonna go with Polly to start and then upgrade hose and get a Fatboy eventually @SPC

I went with this house to start with I had everything else 300+ ft for $120 I put 200ft on hose reel and saved the rest.

The kit I’m ordering come with everything but batter and tank . It includes 200 ft of Polly hose . . But thanks.man. maybe if I try the flexzilla rout I’ll let you know

Yea I was looking at same kit but I had everything but hose. So i just order the hose and went with it, so far I’m happy with it

Don’t do that… Save the garden hose for the water supply. get the one @Racer posted and be done with it. I myself used garden hose when I first started. get the 200 ft of it and be done with it!

done use this… its way too stiff and will kink.

don’t order a kit with poly hose… its junk hose. it will kink and twist like no other. when its cool out (like under 70) it gets very stiff.

Some things are just not worth being cheap on. Get one pin hole or cut in a hose with chlorine being pumped through it and you will be wishing you will be kicking your self in the ass.
I personally like AG hose because it’s really durable and cut resistant. But it’s heave and stiff when it’s cold. I use flextech r/t hose and really like it’s very tough and it’s lighter than AG hose . I’m personally not a fan of kuri tek . I used it for a few years but it would develop pin holes where I got kinked . And owing get cut gutter flashing

I was talking about using 1/2iinch flexzilla air hose . But I will take suggestions which hose did racer use. Thanks for input @SchertzServicesLLC

Thanks @florida_condo_cleani. But I’m going to order a kit so I’m going to look at those hoses
But I was gonna get kit on pt and start with poly then upgrade from there. Or you think I should get the kit with kuri seems like they both have negatives. But I need something asap. I even seen the Fatboy on amazon and was gonna put my own together and buy all fittings . But I don’t know if the will cause headaches so I’m torn lol. But thanks for input

I don’t like buy anything I know is short lived but I guess it all comes down to what makes sense to you . I would destroy a poly braded hose in just a few days but you may get a year out of one. My hoses get dragged over gutter flashing get dragged down streets and ran over by people because it easier than going around it. But that’s me that may never happen to you. I’ve also never had luck with 12 volt pump I just couldn’t get any real time out of them yet others get years of use. I’m a firm believer that investing in your equipment is investing in your future. I’ll spend $1500 on an air operated system before i spend $200 on a 12 volt because I’ll get a few months out of one and years and years out of the other . I have some aodd pumps that are 10years old and still work just fine

Good point thanks man always good to hear other opinions I’ve been getting a couple of roof jobs and believe it or not I did 2 with pump ups lol. Now I booked a couple 2 weeks out so I can order my stuff haha so I gotta make something happen or I’ll be pumping my ass of up there. @florida_condo_cleani

Like everyone already said, just go with the kuritec kit. I had the poly braid hose break on me the second time I used it. It probably pumped 20 gal of 50% mix into my clients lawn. I ended updated giving him the job for free and spent $400 on new sod. The poly braid really shouldnt be used at all. In my opinion its just something vendors offer to make the price more friendly to potential buyers like yourself. If you really wsnt to save $ or just dont have it at the moment youre better off using cheap garden hose until you can afford some good agricultural hose. When you compare the cost difference between poly and ag hose its less than you’ll make on one job.
