XJet issue

Hey guys I’m a noob to this site. A buddy and I just started a part Time Mobile Pressure Washing business in northern Indiana a few months back. We’ve done a lot of reading and video watching and have learned a lot. I worked for a big Pressure Washing company all thru my high school years. I’m talking 5-6 hotsy washers 3 manlifts. Big time. I know the work is out there. I’m a journeyman lineman and work for the family farm during planting and harvest time. So for me this is a few nights a week or weekend jobs. We spent the money up front and bought a 7gpm 4000psi hot water machine. Figured that’s your money maker and we wanted to be able to tackle those tough jobs too. So that’s a little background about me. I’ve tried looking up the problem we are having with our xjetand can’t find any answers. Now it’s the ORIGINAL Xjet not the M5. I saw a video on YouTube and a guy basically put the xjet right after the trigger. Then installed a 12" pipe/lance then a 1/4 quick connect for different tips. Use the soap tip it sucks solutuon great. Any other tip it blows the ratio propotioners right out of it, too much back pressure. Would the assassin nozzle/tip work for Getting up high and still draw solution? Thanks again for the help. Zac, Chromers Mobile Pressure Washing LLC

Why not just buy a M5 xjet nozzle only and you’ll be good to go. Can probably find for around $100.

Well funny thing is. It was supposed to be the M5. They sent the wrong one. But we did some reading and there were a few guys that said they liked the original better when you customize it like what I explained earlier. They said you get a more direct pattern not such a mist? Now that’s just what I’ve read. Not my opinion. Do you like your M5?

Yes just get the M5, you won’t be disappointed.

@Chromer With a 7gpm machine you should be able to shoot about 40 ft with it coming right off the trigger gun. I DS so I use the M5DS for 95% of my washing. At long distance get a little more mist than a shooter nozzle but not that much more unless real windy. Plus when you don’t need the long distance having the adjustable M5 lets you cover a lot more wall space quicker.
Watch this video I did last summer using my M5. And with the ds injector in I actually only pull 7.7 gpm so not that much different than yours.

Use a J-ROD with soft wash tips. I ran into the same issue before. Usually we just use the M-5 the way it is, but if its windy and trying to hit three stories we do the same as you described, add a quick connect on the end of the X Jet and add a 12 in lance with a JROD on the end. It cuts down the pressure and with the long distance rinse tip you can hit three stories on a windy day with no breaks in the stream. Different places sell them, but this is what im referring to. https://shopwindowcleaningresource.com/j-rod-4-nozzle-holder-with-soft-wash-nozzles.html

If you add a lance that has a small bend in it, it will cut down the pressure generated from the X-Jet a lot, which is what you want
