Wish me luck

After talking to a guy about buying his business, I have decided to start my own. I think he wants to continue a little longer and starting out on a smaller scale makes more sense at this time. I finally started getting some items in. I did a light sanding on my trailer and painted it. I still have some items to get and decisions to make but will start putting it all together soon. I have been looking at other open trailer builds and have reached out to a couple guys with questions. The hard part for me is worrying too much about making a bad decision and over thinking things. Good lord this endeavor is on my mind pretty much 24/7. I think about one thing and then my mind switches to another, then another. A.D.D.?
Anyhow,I have read to place the buffer tank over the axle but am wondering if it might be a little too far towards the back in this case? The trailer is a 5x10, the axle is rated at 3500lb and I doubt I’ll pull it full of water. My thought was the PW at the front with the tank slightly forward of the axle. The reels will be on the rail opposite the PW. Suggestions?

What’s going behind the buffer? The buffer looks fine to me centered over the axle, but unless your putting something behind the buffer, looks like you will still be a little tongue heavy,

Good Luck! Don’t sweat the small stuff and just keep learning from everything you do. Keep us updated on the trailer build. I’m planning on putting one together the same size as yours.

Eventually a chem tank. Other than that, just buckets, extra hoses, surface cleaner, etc.

Ditch the ramp and mount your reels on the back.

You could even put them on a utility box if you were so inclined. Looks good though just remeber the room will disappear fast.

Its work out amazing for us. Only way I would rather have it is top mounted like @Racer and others. That’s next years project for us. Expanding up!!!

Even if the trailer axle is rated at 3500 the trailer itself might have a different load rating. It’s important to know that number.

How many gallons is that?

Where are you located?

The GVWR is 2990. It’s a 65 gallon tank. Ohio.

Thought about that but in reading/seeing what several others have done, I’m leaning towards a curbside mount and hanging things from the ramp. 6 one way—half a dozen the other. Not to mention I’m running out of room in my garage to be able to store it.

I think I’m going to use something like this on something I want to be somewhat modular on the F250 build. But, if you can’t or don’t have the ability to weld up racks, find a local steel supplier that sells perforated steel. Find Nordlock washers, serrated head bolts, and an angle grinder

Torque those monkeys down to recommended specs and you’ve got a grown up’s erector set of racks that may as well be be welded.

I like having my machines at the very front or rear. You need easy access for maintenance and repairs. Down on the floor in middle of trailer going to make for PITA oil changes once you start putting more stuff on trailer. You may think you have room now, in 6 months the trailer will be packed like a sardine can.
