Winterization tank?

What is the general consensus on adding a winterization tank to a hot pressure washer? I have a Hydrotek hot water tank skid. Like to add their small float tank and 3 way valve, fill with antifreeze, and run through system (including lines) at night, especially on those iffy temperature nights. I know I can simply unhook inlet and suck antifreeze from bucket, but I need very simple system; multiple operators. Your thoughts and experience?

I live in South MS so I’m no help at all there.
Can one of y’all Yankees chime in?

I have a float tank on my skid, but don’t use it. It’s to small. Also I have quick connects on my 275 gallon tank that allows me to unhook inlet hose in 2 seconds and drop it in 5 gallons of antifreeze. Boom, done in no time. Winterized in under a minute.

I usually empty out me buffer to the point where I’m just about to suck air. Fill it up with a few gall of AF & run it through the wand back into a holding tank.

About how many gallons to flush machine, pump, and 100’ hose?

I would rather have 275 gallons of water in case the government folds and war breaks out. Lol

I have guns for when that happens. Forget power washing at that point

All of our trailers are set up same way. We have a shut off valve just off the water tanks. Inward to the pump we have a three way valve and one of the hoses can drop off the side of our trailers into a five gallon bucket, holding tank etc…I love this way because the guys can bring the trailers back and it takes us 2 minutes to get it all antifreezed up. Shouldn’t really take you four gallons to do it all. We have a lot more hose so I cant give you an exact.

We use the air blow out method, tarp, & milk house heater for extra measure…Either way, protect the “Golden Goose”!!!

Wasn’t talking about washing, I’m talking about a stash of drinking water. Lol

On freezing nights?

That’s exactly what I do - usethe float tank.

Any Hydrotek guys have a picture of where exactly they mount the 3 way valve? Thanks!
