Window Cleaning/Solar Panel Bids

Hello I’m looking to see if I had bid this property correct. I never ever did research on how to quote windows/solar panels, as I go based on time. I aim for the range of $75-$100 and hour. I hire a friend of mine who is pretty speedy at doing windows for $120 the day.

The property has about 60 individual windows some very small and some larger ones. I am also cleaning a couple solar panels on the roof. I’m total I charged them $800. Is that underpriced? She seemed to accept the bid very quickly.

well if she already accepted the bid you can’t go back and add more. But I guess you’ll know for next time

There are a few window cleaners here that can chime in but the sister site is for window cleaners so you’ll hit more cleaners there.

Pricing comparison in general can be challenging because every area is different. Use pricing suggestions to let you know if you’re in the ballpark and to make sure you’re not way overcharging or way undercharging.

I don’t go by the hour, that would be silly. My pricing is by the type and height of the window. On average I do try for around $75-$100/hr but some windows are just stuffed with junk.

I don’t know what the rest of the house looks like but judging by the window style I would say $800 is in line with my pricing. We don’t have solar panels here however so can’t comment on that.

I’d be 1,000 on the windows, solar panels 40.00 each……
