Why is unit still pulling SH?

Hi folks.

As the title reads, my set up pulls SH when I’m using the 2 story rinse nozzle.

I’ve got -

4 gpm unit
0015 tip from PSP, saying it’s a 2 story rinse nozzle
2-3 gpm fixed injector
200’ pressure hose

The only thing that stands out to me is the downstream injector. Is it still pulling SH because it’s a smaller flow rate?

It won’t pull soap if you pull the tube or buy a 3 way ball valve

Thanks guys.

I’ll eventually invest in a remote downstream bypass, but currently my goal is not to walk back to the truck to shut off the injector.

Do you think I’ll still be pulling soap with a 2.1 orifice injector?

Buy one and find out. Just remember, if you are trying to stop soap with a high pressure nozzle, you are doing a disservice to your customer.

Just get the ball valve. Walking back to the truck should only be done once per job if you do it right. Sometimes I like to use the soap nozzles to rinse.

I started my setup with this thanks to @Innocentbystander and I am glad I did. The injector gets rinsed which is an additional benefit. As mentioned already, when the process is well streamlined, not too many trips needed back to the truck. A cheap DIY remote is easy to set up until a more expensive unit can afforded. Xx15 nozzle is around 250 psi with a 4 gpm unit. Not what is referred to as soft washing here. Higher chance of disturbed oxidation on vinyl, etc etc. The 3-way valve and rinsing with soap nozzle just makes a lot of sense.

It pulls because it is a smaall pump and your hose is too long…
Use a shirter hose…50 ft

It’s not super expensive to build a remote injector box, probably about $220 total and that’s with a heavy duty valve.

Its about physics

Just no  whatcha got on the grill today?

Hickory smoked chicken wings.
Ribeyes and short ribs… lol😀

Built my remote downstream box for 100.00.

Still using those blue valves?

Thanks guys. I’ve been contemplating a DIY remote downstream injector. I’ve seen a few DIYs on tube to get a good feel for it.

Ill heed your advice. Thanks.

Well, those blue ones won’t die, so…

Dude you need to upgrade, the black one is so much better. I have three dead blue ones sitting on my bench at home. I went through six in two years and finally had enough.

Mine still going almost 2 years….and I’m washing like all get out. Seem to be fine to me.
