Which injector for 10 GPM?

I’m looking to purchase a 10 GPM. Will a 2.1 GP Hi draw injector work if between 3/8” whip line and the hose reel? I’m thinking very little dilution of the 12.5% so I can draw a strong enough mix. Can anyone chime in who owns a 10 GPM? Do I need a 1/2” whip line? I’d like to think I’d still have a good machine for down-streaming. Thanks.

Don’t know off hand, but I may have a brand new 10gpm still palleted in the warehouse…

I don’t know first hand but I’ve heard many times over you need 1/2" hoses to get 10 gpm from a 10gpm machine. That seems like a pain in the neck pulling 1/2" hose around all day.

What do you want for it?

You want to run a 1/2 injector. The 10 gpm unit really doesn’t pull soap well without it. Call Johnathan at North Georgia airless he will get you set up

I’ll have to check it out when I get back in the shop and make sure that’s what it is.

The 800 with a 10gpm pump burns 2.3 gallons per hour. I put an 8gpm pump on mine after a couple of weeks because of that. You don’t need 1/2 hose. I used a 3-5gpm injector due to my house length. With 200ft you can use a 5-8gpm injector.

I’d run a 1/2" whip and I know a few guys run a 1/2" hose the first 50’ to 100" on their reel since they only occasionally pull it all off, but really not necessary, though it will help keep your pressure from dropping by a little bit.

Why would running a smaller pump affect your mileage on the 10gpm? Engine still running.

The restriction on the injector was the killer. Without the injector it was comparable to the gx690. Put the 8gpm udor on and tuned the engine down and it got it to 1.6 gallons per hour. It’s more engine that is needed for what I need but my guy couldn’t lay hands on 690’s at the time and gave me one before he sold them to see what they did in the field. He has got 690’s again. Pretty interesting watching the Honda rep hook up a laptop to it and see instant fuel consumption and rpms though. You get your pump flowing water?

That’s still more fuel than the 690. Yep,did what you said, still wouldn’t pump. Spent 2 hours pulling machine off trailer and carrying to dealer. Where I had it mounted under table for 8, couldn’t get unloader off without moving fuel tank etc. Was a real PITA getting it out. After all of that, turned out it was just a vapor lock in the pump, lol.

Absolutely. I’ll run this one, but I’d never buy one

Racer, I have a vapor lock on my 690. Gas boiling when engine heats up. How did you fix it?

Try this if you are sure you have the right gas cap on your tank

Thst has been replaced already about 40 hrs ago

Well poo. Buy another motor and keep working

Challenge accepted :grinning:! Just Google his company?

I could give you the number but where’s the challenge in that? They open at 8am EST

That’s a whole different problem than I had. Gas boiling, wow. Take video, never seen that one. Call @Innocentbystander guy or Russ at Southside. Try william’s guy first though because I’m NOT sending you $25 if Russ doesn’t know.

Do you have a return line on your machine?
