Which Equipment - Soooo confusing

Hey all…

Ive pretty much got everything in order to start as soon as i buy the equipment.

Im based in Australia but Im pretty sure most equipments used worldwide are the same…

I will post the links and if you experts could be of assistance that would be greatly appreciated…

  1. This one is pretty much straigh off the company shelf, no real help of any sort - kinda have to get attachments etc by myself:

https://sydneytools.com.au/product/typhoon-t2500br-65hp-4000psi-ewp-honda-powered-petrol-water-pressure-washer-with-turbo-head-and-hose-reel-kit

  1. These guys provide like a starter kit and will provide support:

https://www.pressurewasherparts.com.au/b_|__mid_range_start_up_package_with_15hp_be_power_ease_petrol_engine_high_pressure_washer_with_annovi_reverberi_pump

So in the last link there is another one that a little more expensive and the difference between 2 is that one has an internal unloader and the cheaper one (which is the link above) has an internal unloader.
Sorry as a new user im only allowed 2 links haha!! But if you look under their starter packs you’ll be able to see the other going for $3890.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and really would take a tonne of pressure off me please!!

Cheers
Jits…

I think the package deal is the better deal. The washer has a bigger engine so you will likely have good LPM or GPM which is more important than PSI. Plus all the things they offer are usefull and you will need to buy them separately anyway.

Ok awsome… Thanks for that…

I will post pics of the new rig… I purchased it today and will pick up on Sat… Can’t wait!!!

Cheers

Have you already purchased or still thinking about what you need are the houses down there vinyl or stucco …with a 4gpm machine 4k psi i would get a smaller surface cleaner then the one in the kit id go with a 16 inch instead of a 20 ithink the rule of thumb with surface cleaners is flow x psi and thats the size you would need for it to work effectively

You won’t believe it… I actually got a 16 inch…

Let me know your thoughts s on the above setup…
Hope I did well… If not I guess I’m going to have to learn on the go… And add other things etc…

Looks good to me are you putting it on a trailer if they do those down there or you putting it in thr back of a van / truck or ute ? Lol

Haha we have trailers down here… It won’t be mounted to one… Will just be buying a caged trailer and carrying my stuff in there…

Hopefully if it all goes well, we can purchase a Ute next year…

Lol …equipment looks good dont need much more unless your doing comercial work imo …a good 4x4 machine and a 12v 5.5 or 7 gpm unit can make the money on the cheap …just remember dont clean with pressure clean with flow

Good to know mate…

I’m just goin to do to residential to start with… Some people say 4000 psi for residential is too much… But the company I bought it from said just to reduce the rpm and you’ll reduce pressure…

I’m gonna have to learn heaps… Currently trying to figure what they talk about percentage mixtures on sh etc… Haha there’s lots to know. But I think I’m also trying to know everything at the same time which is also not a good thing haha…

And yea thanks for that info clean with flow not with pressure…

if it goes really well, will you go ahead and get the two utes? Sorry, old guy couldn’t resist…

What’s a ‘ute’?

Haha auzie lingo for a 4x4 or van…

Lol a garage full of electric utes… Diesel prices are nuts down here

You reduce the pressure with the nozzle sizes, not lowing your rpm. You want to keep the 4 gpm flow. 4000 is too much for anything residential. 2500-3000 is all you need to clean anything.

So are you saying my surface cleaner is going to be of no use for residential? This is why I’m so confused with the rig… It’s been purchased now so can’t really go back…

He also mentioned something about changing tips on the surface cleaner??

check which number marking is on the tips that came installed on your surface cleaner (should read something like “2502”). You’re not hitting 4kpsi on concrete with that setup, unless they put some crazy mis-sized tips on it. There are tons of resources out there and on here that go in depth on the what & why of it all…but you’re probably going to want 2502s on that setup (maybe 25025s). Plenty of guys running that combo. Once you firm up that part #, you’ll want to keep extras on hand for if (when) they get clogged on you.

OK awsome info guys… I’ve emailed them to ask them what tips are on the cleaner atm… It’s 1am here so let’s hope they’ll chuck in 2502s before sending the machine over… Or better even the machine already comes with 2502s…

Yeah, if they’re selling it as a package, they should give you the correct size for that equipment. You may want to get a set of the next size to try out on your own and figure out what’s the best for what you do.

Also, you can get a lot more info at this link (along with about a million other places, to include the search bar above):

You’re a champ mate… Thanks heaps for the info…

I was running 25025s in my surface cleaner and I too have a 4/4000 machine. With those I was getting 2200 psi at the gun. Per the chart should be 2500, but you have loses through hoses and fittings. I switched to the 2502s, which should be 4000, but I was getting 3200 at the gun. For residential that is pretty good. You should just stick with the 2502s unless it’s new concrete, then the 25025s would be safer.
