I was wondering what a 50 deg was.

never use pressure to clean concrete that’s less than two years old. Also there are many factors that could compromise the integrity of a cream top on concrete even if it’s cured. No matter what always do a test area unless it’s an old aggregate concrete that doesn’t have any of the cream. Same goes for color never use pressure on colored concrete. Even if they say it’s an integral mix more color is always added to the final cream top and it will never have that same look once the top coat is compromised.

Thanks mate…
I’m so annoyed at myself that the first thing to have remembered was to only go as much as 2000 - 2500 psi on residential…

That concretes been lying there for about 8 years now… So pretty old… But yes I’ll take all the other factors into consideration in future as well…

So is it safe to say get 2502.5 or 2503 nozzles and try with them next time?

I’m glad you think that way, Because in reality you owe the man some fresh concrete

My little boat only has a 9 gallon tank but I got a couple of 5 gallon Jerry cans. I don’t know if I can get to the half way point, especially if I stop to fish.

This was Saturday mornings catch.

I ended up calling the guy I purchased my machine from… He confirmed the nozzle sizes are 15020… The num could barely be seen on the nozzle… So its Not 5020 as I originally mentioned…

Nonetheless, I’m getting him to send me 2502.5 or 2503 whatever he can get his hands on so as to reduce the pressure for future jobs…

Now that makes more sense. The 5002’s just didn’t make any sense for the machine. With the 1502 you’re lucky you didn’t peel everything off, you were probably pushing 3500+ psi.
You’ll be much happier with the new ones. You can also use 4002.5 or 4003 on a 16" machine if he can’t get the others. Both are standard sizes and are readily available here, so he should be able to get.
Also, it looks like a General Pump spray nozzle. It’s basically going to give you the same pattern as you’ll get with your green 25 deg tip that came with your pressure washer.
If you can get them, see if he has the Spraying systems ‘Wash Jet’ nozzles with the vein. That’s what comes standard on the Whisper Wash machines . It’ll give you a more even spray across the angle. More of a truly flat spray. May cost a couple of dollars more.

OK fantastic… I’ll check with him mate… Thanks heaps for all your help… Greatly appreciated…

Its funny because the company I bought it from he keeps saying I can reduce my rpms to reduce my pressure and what I’ve read is that you ALWAYS change tip sizes to reduce pressure… Even today I asked him and he’s like yea no problem on turning down the rpms to half, as long as I don’t put it all the way down to idle… So hence the reason I always try to keep the machine full throttle as I’ve read so as to not damage the machine…

I’m not sure bout you guys here if you have made such a mistake, but it really drains the hell outta you and makes you wonder should I really be doing this…

Then I get a picture of fishing from IBS and I remember why I want to do it… To get my that boat someday too haha…

So, vendors lie. Either they don’t know or they are just trying to make a sell. Your in a tough spot of you have to rely on internet vendors. It’s so easy to buy a franchise or start up a business just drop shipping from barons or other companies and not having real world experience. There are a ton of vendors in the States that are also washing contractors. Wonder where there best interests are? Do like Rick says and get the proper tips and keep plugging along. I don’t know what it costs to call another country but I’m available from 4am to 6am EST of you can understand a country accent. 919-524-3875

It definitely is kinda hard where I’m solely relying on internet for almost everything… I guess without community like these a lot of us would be struggling, so once again thanks a tonne mate…

Country accent or non ima call you one day… Hopefully you can understand my kangaroo accent haha…

So just a big shout out to @Racer and @Innocentbystander and everyone else that put all their efforts into my mistakes…

Did a fantastic job 2 weeks ago…
Got the 2502s put on my machine…
Ran my SC at 2000psi…

The only thing I would say was getting black spot out was a major pain in the ■■■… Still getting used to the hot mix of using SH to get rid of them but after some effort (applied 5 times)… First tried hitting it with a 1.5% mix and nothing… Then increased to about 3% and dwelled for about 10 min and saw some light at the end… I left it with a post treat with about 3%…

Didn’t get it all off but customer wants it cleaned again in summer (Australian summer), so I’m sure next time it’ll come out 100%…

If there is anything else I could try please let me know… But I love the info on this site and wanted to say thanks heaps for your guys input…

Getting better. Was you machine full throtte? You want to get your pressure up to around 2500 where it goes into the surface cleaner. That’s the standard. So try some 2502 tips.
When you have a lot of embedded algae like you have with those spots, you have to clean a little slower, always go over it twice on each pass, and/or use a stronger pre-mix, say 2-3% and if you still have some after cleaning at the correct pressure and they’re still dark like the ones you have, then post treat with a 50-50 or 5% mix. In fact, if like a small area, I’ll just spray straight SH with my pump up, since that’s what I normally keep in it, depending on whether my helper remembered to add any water to it, which he generally doesn’t, lol.
Much better results. You’re learning Go back by when it’s dry when you’re in the area, and take some pics. I think it might look pretty good if you left some mix on it.

I did have the 2502 tips on there… And will be keeping them on there haha…

And no I didn’t have it at full throttle because I was still too worried about damaging anything from my last mistake… It was turned down only a little to give me 2000psi…

Now that u mentioned going over it twice on each pass I’ll do that in future if the surface is in this state… And yea thanks for the SH mixes, I’ll heat it up a little more next time… It’s been pissing down cats and dogs here for a month, will get some nice ones once it’s all dried up…
