Where Does Home Advisor Get Their Leads & How You Can Get in Front Of Them

A rep from Homeadvisor keeps trying to get me to sign up, but the problem I see with the leads she’s been previewing for me have been that people are putting that they want them done “Two days from now”, “Tomorrow”, and “Within a few weeks”. Aside from the last one, it makes no sense to me. They claim they’re trying to find professional people, etc, yet they want people who don’t have jobs booked further than a week or two out?

Do you call leads like this anyway, or just pass? I’m intrigued, but don’t want to spend the money if it’s a bunch of last minute jobs.

@fhpressurewashing I think that option is there for people who might want to just express that they’d prefer to do it sooner than later but I don’t think it ties them to it. To cross over that timeframe objective, if it personally came across I would simply say, “Hey, there’s a reason why I’m booked and my competitor isn’t. It’s definitely worth the wait to ensure a quality job done on one of your biggest investments. Your not buying a T-shirt here!” - Just an Example

Here is a basic rundown of why you should join homeadvisor as starting out. I started my business a few years ago. I still use homeadvisor to this day for a few reasons:

  1. I land most jobs that come my way.
  2. You are limited on receiving phone calls due to not being heard of or having the money to wrap a truck, advertise, or so on.
Home advisor has given me many jobs. Right now I am averaging 8 jobs a week just from homeadvisor with my budget set at $1k. Every job I go to from homeadvisor leads, I end up doing a great job from them, holding reviews and they put my name out to others and neighbors. I personally love homeadvisor because all of my phone calls I get now are not home advisor leads. They are people who have heard of work I did from leads they know. It’s like a big chain for me. I will keep homeadvisor until I get too busy working for clients who are not leads. Just people who know of me because of the work I have done for leads in the past. WORD OF THE MOUTH spreads. Home advisor has been my biggest and best marketing source right now.
