What's this? and how to clean?

Looks like oil to me… Oil based something

Check the siding for Oxidation, looks a little chalky to me… if all is well, Id spray some diluted degreaser on it

Not sure why oil would be on a second story. Habe you ever seen blue stuff leak out of weepers on a new vynal house? Ive seen this twice.

Maybe someone did work on the house?

A pesticide? It is strange. Like chese bro said. Try some degreaser. Put some on your rag wipe a section and rinse.

though I do not have a lot of house washing experience, I did see some oxidization before. this one did not look like oxidization to me. it’s only on the north side, and almost whole side of it. should not be oil.
anyway, I think I should go back and test it with gutter grenade and degreaser. I do want to find out what it is…

I’ve seen this before. Someone had a wasps nest in siding and they sprayed a solution to kill them before removing it with a stick / garden hose. I would just use a degreaser on it, scrub it in good, let it dwell, rinse off.

I would clean the house and tell them anything that isn’t organic or dirt isn’t coming off. If it all comes clean even better for you. Don’t try and get stains off siding. You’ll create problems using degreasers or other products and now you own it.

That was my thought…Raid or something. God knows I’ve hosed down my share of hornets as a window cleaner.

Im far from an expert and my terminolgies may be a little off or incorrect but; If you don’t think its oxidization, i dont think I’d use gutter grenade on it lol. Because then you will def have that problem. As gutter grenade will remove the oxidation layer…
