What would YOU do (gpm)

Best of luck buddy! Just starting out this year myself! You came to the right place, this forum has been a great resource for me

I know its great I’m excited, but nervous too

In the military they teach you that nerves can be remodeled via positive thought loop into a heightened state of awareness. Besides if you’re not nervous you’re not thinking big enough. Good luck!

Btw, I’m not particularly religious, but I love the name of your company. I’m not sure what your state has by way of programs to hire ex felons, but here in missouri they pick up the tab for half the wage and a lot of people love giving folks a fresh chance. @MrSparkleVA is a good dude and started in a similar boat. Put that in your back pocket for when you grow.

(@MrSparkleVA where are you? Hope you’re doing well and ready to roll into another successful season dude.)

I would personally go with the hot water machine. Its alot cheaper to upgrade you’re pump in the future and that way you don’t miss out on commercial concrete when it comes around. Ive been renting hot water machines for concrete lately amd with the $ I spent on rentals in the last 3 months I could have bought a hot box. 8 home is definitely faster than 5.5 but theres nothing you can’t do with the 5.5 that you could do with the 8. But you can’t clean commercial concrete with cold water.

The vets are tellin me 8 cold. You know for the price of the 5.5 hot I can buy an 8 cold and hot box, no joke

Cool man. Whatever works for you. Like racer said its all about what youre planning on doing with you’re machine. Where’d you find the 8 cold + hot box for tje price of a hot 5.5. An 8gpm hot box usually starts at a little over 2000. I’m very intrigued.

I’d have to look again. The 8 is like 4 grand. 5.5 hot is over 6

I see. With the hot box for the 8 it comes out to about the same give it take a few hundred $. Anyways…they’re Both money makers. You can always upgrade in the future.

Amen

Cody is right - 8gpm cold with bloc mounted k7 is right at 3300. Think I paid 2150 for my 8gpm heater. So about 54-5500. Hard to find hot water 5.5 much less. Cody when you buy machine, make sure it’s setup to add a heater later or you’ll need to buy a generator too when you get your hot water unit. Most new 8’s do have the capability, but check.

Will do brother. Thank you for advice:-) bloc mounted?

I want something that can be mounted, not on wheels… Guess I can take the wheels off???

on a 8 gpm you want your unloader mounted to the frame, not your pump. Called block mounted.

Why is this???

Reduces stress on pump, the K7 are pretty heavy too.

I’m as busy as a one-armed wallpaper hanger, with February projected as my best month yet. Also lots of personal drama that keeps me slightly off balance, but prevail I shall in that arena as well.

Thanks for the kind words @squidskc, joining this community and getting into this business has been really helpful. Special thanks to you and Rick @Racer for pulling me out of some tight spots.

That’s a great price. I’m looking to add a second machine. Did you buy that locally?
