What would you do with this washer?

Picked this up at a yard sale for $30 starts up but is leaking water from the seal at the pump. Think it’s worth putting a new pump on it? Idk much about this brand of equipment either

It’s a well know brand. If the engine runs good you can probably rebuild the pump for around $150 . If that’s the size machine you can use then I see no reason not to fix it . Or swap the pump for a 5@3500

That’s a steal…Nice find!

Was thinking about doing this but didn’t know if the motor would be worth dumping the money in it. Guess ill start hunting for a new pump to put in there.

That old vanguard is a good engine. I’ve always had a liking to them. Probably because I had so many as kid on gokarts and mini bikes

Repair or replace pump and keep as a back up , that’s what I would do

You should sell it to me for $35 and have $5.00 profit. I will put a new pump on it and have a second guy rinsing the side I just soaped. It would save me hours on the job. Yeah, that’s what you should do with that washer.

I think that R6 would be my focus :star_struck:

Yes i had a 2005 r6 and sold it to buy a wedding ring. Probably a wise decision. Its hard not to speed when you can brake all the speed limits in 2nd gear.

Very wise. Upsetting, but wise.

Soooo much fun though!!

I solved that issue by buying a supermoto . There really fun and not to fast . I think my bike tops out at under 90mph

Never raced super moto but i raced dirtbikes from 6-17 years old most my buddies are pro now. Sadly i had to quit due to lack of funds.

I never raced I’ve just been having fun on bikes since I was a kid . To me the difference in racing and having fun is the amount of broken bones. Much less if you’re just having fun

Haha temping on the initial profit I’d make.

That’s my baby had it since it was new in 2003 runs flawlessly.

Second gear is no joke you have to let it open at least once everytime you get on the highway also.

It’s in an awesome color scheme. I love it.

I used have the pre-digital speedo one years and years ago. I always wanted to have that back in the day ha ha.

I remember it being a bit hard on the wrists after an hour or so though.

These days I’d go for something a bit more sit up position :joy:

That’s why you get the best of both worlds. Also have a 1980 cb750k comfort and style.

Dude I’m actually working on a 1972 cb450 rite now. It was my dads bike . I’m doing a scrambler conversion on it and giving it back to my dad. It’s getting a R6 suspension upgrade as well as a few other things

Nice! curious to see the R6 suspension upgrade on the bike when all said and done. Sounds like a good project!
