7:45 am… I’m off to clean a main drain. The guy also wants me to reroute his sump pump line… The day is starting off good…
So what other services do you guys do?
Do you work during the week? Weekends? Or both?
Main drain to what?
In residential we do gutter cleaning, roof cleaning, house wash, pool deck, pool enclosure/lanais, driveways, sealing. Home cleaning (maid).
Commercial janitorial cleaning (restaurants mainly) but looking to start office cleaning, window cleaning, high dusting, kitchen, dining, bathroom floor cleaning, dumpster pad, building wash, etc
I think similar to what most of you guys do
Main sewer line. From the cleanout in the basement to the city line… Dam and I just bought these new boots…
Interesting
You can probably pick up a pair of rubber boots at Walmart for $25, just add it to the cost
Yea I got them, just get busy with what im doing and don’t slow down to put them on… Lol.
Window cleansing.
Hardwater strain removal.
Are you talking in Windows or bathroom enclosures?
Either. They’re both a strain. Don’t do much of it though.
I gave up weekend working a few years ago. Unless we are out of town hours are 7 to 3. Sometimes that stretches a little later due to ride times but overtime is a profit suck. Fridays are typically residential days when in town and I like to have everyone out of the shop by 1 or 2. We wash siding and clean commercial gutters. No windows, changing outside light bulbs, no decks, driveways, dryer vent cleaning, roof washing, installing Christmas lighting, or anything that I don’t want us to do.
What’s your preferred method for tough hard water stains? I have one that just won’t come off
Mr. Hard Water. Liquid first, then if not, the powder.
I am an income tax preparer, physical therapist and tattoo artist. (not really any of these)
My business name is Hydro Wash but by far I do more painting. But it all comes from p.w. last year I p.w two buildings next to each other (same owner)
Tomorrow I start painting them. Those two services go hand in hand. I also do roof cleaning , roof painting and deck sealing. P.w is my cheapest service and im a little cheaper than most but I clean up on the other stuff.
Roof Painting??
I threw up in my mouth just a little bit
If you towel, off more than twice then your just playing with yourself
I make way more money pressure washing
Man you’ve lost a ton of weight since then, way to go!
Jk
Providing multiple services allows us to “diversify our portfolio”, and allows us to meet clients we otherwise would not have met. I do prefer to stay within the ‘cleaning’ industry
Just throwing it out there the more services you offer the more headaches you will have.
Ever heard the saying Jack of all Trades but Master of None. When this defines who you are its a positive but negative thing at the same time.
When my phone rings I want to be an expert at what I do not someone who has done it before a few times. Once you master one thing then you can tackle something else.
Just my thoughts on the topic though.
