What do you do for lunch?

When you have a full day of work lined up do you wake up early to pack food for the day or do you stop and grab food? What is your go to place on a really good day?

For me it’s Pizza. I will stop 2-3x times a week to grab a slice - even if I have a packed lunch. Hbu?

Potted meat and saltine crackers hard to beat

For me usually just crackers and Gatorade throughout the day. Personally I would rather keep going than stop for lunch and have to work later

@Firefighter4hire @SurfaceTherapy You guy’s don’t burn out from that? I find that when I pack a lunch and stop for 15-20 minutes to eat I get energy and become so much more productive!

It can do the opposite if you eat to much. Racer has took me to some places that was so good i over ate. Then im about to fall asleep on the way to the next job :joy::joy: hes did it too. He had to pull over and let me drive.

LOL yeah I know what you mean. We went to a few all you can eat places to celebrate a big job… a couple of times we had to reschedule a sale afterwards. Goodness I am making myself look like a total lard here.

Not really. Mix it up with granola bars also. If there is a Subway nearby I will sometimes get that. That is maybe once every couple weeks.

I usually pack lunch. I’ve a cooler and a microwave in my van so I can have a warm meal out in the field for cheap.

We don’t stop for lunch, not do I deduct a lunch break. If anyone is hungry or tired, they take a two or three minute break whenever they want to. I carry sliced fruit and some type of nut or legumes and take a bite of something whenever I walk to the truck to switch soap/rinse. I typically make supper my dinner and only eat one meal a day during the week. On the weekends, especially at the cabin, I do dinner for lunch

Whats lunch? I’ve heard of this but can’t quite place it. It must be something the government workers do.

And unions.

See now that is a smart man. What the hell do you drive and where do you keep it. So far I have seen a port-a-potty on a trailer in this forum so nothing is too crazy.

When it’s hot and I’m working there is no lunch. Usually have a big breakfast and go to work and have good dinner. I feel too heavy when I eat lunch and it definitely slows me down.

I try and do dinner for breakfast, dinner for lunch and dinner for dinner. Doesn’t always work out - but hey, gotta do what you can do. Sliced fruit is a good idea, I need to start doing that. Keeps you hydrated and your sugar level at appropriate portions.

Lmao those darn unions and government workers have it all figured out!

My wife packs me lunch, usually the night before. Usually one or two deli sandwiches along with a a big100 protein bar, some fruit, and my supplements.

I would be completely useless by 1pm if I had to subsist on crackers and water all day. Wouldn’t matter what kind of breakfast I had, either.

Thank you. Finally someone who understands haha. Some days wifey makes rice, potatoes, chicken, other days its a sandwich, etc. Lots of snacks, lots of vegetables. I get hungry and just munch all day, when I drive between jobs is a crucial moment to load up!
