What a week... umm 3 days

Thursday - Work van breaks down.
Towed to dealer, dealer lends me a 4x4 Ute (pick up)

Saturday - water blaster breaks down.
Saturday - I take the dealer 4x4 off road to go shooting, it’s turning circle is crap and I tear the bumper off

Sunday - jam basics in they tiny tray on Ute and drive 2 hours to a job. Snap swivel off gun at 7.30am while climbing ladder. Decide to to keep spraying since I don’t have spare gun, only the basics today!
7.35am annoyed neighbour tells me to shut the f#ck up with my noisy machine
Finish job (glass awning covered in green stuff) with water fed pole.
Buy neighbour beer
Drive home
Zip Tie bumper back on to dealer Ute
Buy me a beer

Next week, 1/2 jobs cancelled till I get my van back. Yawn. Needed a break anyway I guess!

Moral of story… Always yell at anyone the neighbors hire in hopes of them buying you beer.

You had one tough week. Hopefully things smooth out for you next week or at least after you get your van back. Maybe the dealer won’t notice you had to zip tie their bumper back on.

The van only has 160,000km, that’s about about 17 and a half imperial Miles.

Last month it broke down, off the road for 2 weeks. So many problems, was a waste buying new lol

Yay Ford.

I stealth zip tied it, they shouldn’t notice. Tho I also reversed into the trailer draw bar and bent the licence plate.

I crash motorbikes a lot, so I’m a champ with duct tape and zip ties

Karma is being rough. Maybe you should send dad a new cane.

I didn’t run over your dad.

But you bring it up so often I’m starting to want to run you over.

Ever thought about a holiday down under?

I know someone from new Zealand ran over him. You are the only one from New Zealand I know. It has to be you. Iceland is our next vacation. Maybe down under next. Young girl from my SS class is leaving soon for 3 months in New Zealand for some type of missionary trip. I’ll tag you in Facebook with her

You need a Diego down there

Sorry for the rough week. Sounds like you need a Toyota HiAce. Wish they sold them here…

Haha no way. Toyota diesels have their own set of dramas

Hmm, didn’t know that. You could always get a petrol (gasp) :smirk:

We only get small petrol engines here. Small turbo diesel like my 2.2l van has plenty torque to pull heavy stuff up hills.

Light commercial petrol engines are all small cc, 2.4litres at the most and currently non turbo. No grunt

If there were vehicles with larger cc petrol engines available, like an f250, I’d consider that.

Also fuel economy, diesel cost more to buy and les to run. My annual mileage is well past the break even point so it makes economic sense for me to use diesel.

If I was to have a seperate personal vehicle, the work vehicle mileage would drop and maybe I could consider petrol again.

I know Americans tend to dislike small cc engines and diesel but the rest of the world operates in a very different fuel market

Look what you’ve started @Innocentbystander

To be clear, I didn’t run his dad over. A little old lady 700km away from me did that. But he was a spy, so maybe she thought she was doing her but for our national security

If your mom would like a kiwi to point her in the direction of some cool places here, lemme know.

In all fairness, it was an old lady that ran over my dad. Or a young man dressed up as an old woman. Not sure. Whoever it was kept going. But he has a cool cane and more stories than any one man should have. So, Andrew didn’t run over my dad, probably, he doesn’t have an alibi.

Her husband is from Australia and was in New Zeland a lot for business I guess. He knows the area well. She said it’s your winter there now?

Of course they do, and I understand that, I myself not just dislike, but I hate them to death, the difference is I have to use them.
If it wasn’t for the fuel price here, (Europe) I’d have forgotten what diesel smells and feels like, and wouldn’t consider anything under V10 ever again, and I bet I wouldn’t be the only one who did so.
Current fuel price: 1.15 Eur./Liter petrol or diesel within 2-3 cent difference there.
that turns in about $5/Gallon.
