Knew I wasn’t the only one that had done that. Unfortunately the last one I couldn’t get the dang fitting off so I had to cut it and my Harbor Freight die and tap set is not cut out to make threads on SS lol

I just ordered some of these guns based on comments over the past couple of years in this forum. I’m looking forward to being a ‘straight shooter’ now and hopefully getting a little higher on those peaks!

Just put it in the vice and put the torch on it for a few seconds. They got some kinda fancy loctite that you have to heat up, then it’s easy peasy

That’s how I’ve always done it. I guess whoever put that last one together went overboard with the loctite because that puppy WAS NOT BUDGING. I even put a cheater bar on it lol

Yeah red loctite takes heat to remove.

Yep. Usually works fine with a little propane torch but this last one was not coming loose even after heating it up. But I want to say the stuff on these is actually like a bluish green IIRC.

Speaking of stuck stuff…found a nice 4’ section of copper rod with my mower blade a couple weeks back and broke a pulley on the deck. Finally got new pulley and I’m having hell trying to get the remnants of the old one off. Not much to grab onto with the old pulley puller here…

Were you drinking while driving, LOL? How did you not see a 4’ long piece of copper.

Absolutely I was. This sucker was buried 3’ 9" in the ground with the remaining 3" bent over 90° and I dropped my deck an inch lower than I had been mowing it and found it. I’ve mowed over that thing at least a dozen times and never even saw it it blended in so well.

That’s child’s play. About 10 years ago, my neighbor was gone on vacation and I was going to cut his grass for him. He has a 30" manhole cover in his yard from a storm drainage inlet in front of his house. Thought I had it cleared, but slightly misjudged. Ripped 2 spindles, pulleys and everything else right out of a 60" commercial grade Toro zero turn deck that had about 500 hours on it. I’m talking mangled. Barely scratched the manhole cover, lol. Just the parts were going to be $2500 before any labor to put it back together. I ended up selling it as it was to some dude in TN.

While mowing right of ways last year we “found” a 4” drop receiver in the grass and gifted it through the door of a Terminex truck passing by. The mower operator claims they heard the bang and noticed a slight vibration in the deck afterwards.

Geez Louise lol okay I feel better about my copper rod discovery now. Thanks guys

My Suttner rep is sending me a couple of guns with built in swivels to try. Send me your address and I’ll send you one

What’s the model number on these? Let me know how you like them. Would like to have something like that for the 5.5 since all it does is house washing.

I dunno. I just got that text a couple hours ago. I’ll post a video when they show up. Unless they are great and I don’t want anyone else to know about them.
