Pulled in a messed up parking lot to get out of the way for a ambulance. When i pulled out i must have hit a pot hole amd heard a bang. Got home and went to unhook trailer.
I can see a torch and a 15lb sledge in your hand in the near future…
Don’t feel bad. I ruined my tailgate a couple weeks ago turning the trailer around with my tailgate down. Felt like such an idiot. Thank God for good insurance. $250 deductible
Thinking of trying this hung tie down i had or some how riging come along on it. Then pulling into place and welding some metal back to support it. Will do this tomorrow
Hook it back up,run a LONG chain under your truck from the jack leg to a big tree in front of your truck, back up slowly, have your wife as a spotter and have a tripod set up to take a video for our viewing pleasure PAA,PAA ,PLEASE
Humor, only humor. Sorry about your jack dude. Good time to buy a flip up jack.
I bet the come along would get it. Just go slow lol
Now that’s real pretty… you couldn’t have bent it at that angle if you tried LOL some days I think wasn’t for bad luck we have none at all
Maybe ill just go back to that parking lot and back up into it.
Genius!
That’s the worst place for a Jack anyway. Weld you three 2inch hitch receivers to your trailer. One on the side of the tongue up front. And one. By each tire. Get a side mount trailer jack and weld hitch insert to side of jack. Now, by pulling a clevis pin you can move the Jack to the side if you get a flat and you can stow it parallel on the tongue.
Awww, that was nice. The world is back on its correct axis again, male bonding complete…
Thats genius!!! Im doing this tomorrow for sure.
Scratch that im doing this after my wife has wisdom teeth removed next tuesday. Im going to be broke when i pay this bill.
This and some round tube stock is all you need

Nevermind just seen parts was less than $100. Lets hope they have them in stock.
On a side note. A customer of mine has got me 2 nice jobs and he is very well known in my small town. Instead of giving him $20 off his next wash i got him this.
He just got his 3 year old son a sand box and i didn’t see any toys in it.
Going to mail it to him with a thank you note.
I don’t know if you can zoom in on this but this is a potato trailer and utility trailer I built with side Jack stands
Zoomed in but it got blurry and couldnt see it. I get the idea though. Im guessing its better to mount them behind the wheel? It being connected to the ball on the truck should keep it all balanced.
Just get a side mounted tongue jack, like I have on the landscape trailer. Less cranking and it folds up out of the way. Light as your trailer is, will work great. Mine was like $20 at NT. Took all of 5 min to install.
Can you not get gets the bolts lose on yours or are they bent all to hell too?
