Vinyl Oxidation

I’ve never heard about patching over a nail when it came vinyl! Wow. Learn something new daily.

Truer words have never been spoken. This is one of the biggest downsides to being inexperienced: You must assume blame until you know better. Fortunately, you found the best place I know to bring those disasters and discuss them with mentors who willingly share their knowledge and experience. I doubt seriously if my Google 5 Star Rating would have been possible over the past 2.5 years without these fine fellas. God bless each and every one of you (and protect you from the Corona Virus!)

I only ever see it at section 8 apartments, the property manager told me that to pass HUD inspections there can’t be any holes/cracks. Literally looks just like your picture after the maintence guy does a hack job on it

Yea,you can literally see the color difference that is the size of a nail head

I was wondering if that was oxidation on this wood painted fence but I’m not sure … I have some one restore but this is a first time seeing this for me …

No, that looks like the stain didn’t penetrate into the knots of the wood causing the discoloration.
