Awesome and thanks!

It’s really cool to see how other people have their equipment set up. I am assuming you reel the pressure washer hose from near the cab area. Seems like something you could use to do a ton of different jobs.

How come you don’t have lettering on it?

No buffer tank for the 7gpm pump?

I just bought the van this year and lettering had to wait.

As far as buffer, yeah, there wasnt one. That will change this year. I was doing the same commercial stops every week and I knew there was enough flow. Also would set up so feed hose wasnt going to get parked upon. But still was stressing me out, no doubt.

Nice setup though. It’s pretty awesome and it has to be 1000 times better than hauling around a trailer. Not sure about your area, but a trailer in my area is a complete nightmare. Having everything set up your way would speed up travel time by a ton.

It definitely does make driving easier but I will be going open trailer this year for the power washer and heater. It is too much liability to have it operating in the vehicle. Reclaim is fine from inside vehicle.

You do any flat work?

I pretty much just wash vinyl houses. If I do flat work it is just a driveway or walkway. I am looking into adding about half a weeks worth of reoccurring work per month to have as a just in case scenario. Not sure if I want to get a hot machine and try to land a few restaurants / fast food places or do store front windows.

Now you’re talking. Even though the pay “isnt as good”, as is popular to parrot, Ive been a storefront guy for 11 years. You will get so much work from it. Resi window cleaning, if you so desire, more storefronts, and it sets you up to offer power washing to them.

And the startup costs arent a lot. Canvassing to get the customers is where you burn the fuel but once the ball starts rolling, you’ll feel the momentum build.

Well even though the pay is not as good, It is profitable and like you said may line me up for some pressure washing. A week of 8 hour days should pay a decent chunk of my living expenses. I would ideally like to line up a month worth of window washing and hire an employee to do the jobs for me. Pay them about 11-12 an hour and collect. Does not seem like a bad side hussel for my business.

I would have to set up a DBA, website, etc. What would a nice small startup budget be around? I can do the website, seo, designing myself. I just need marketing printed and equipment.

Why not do the windows under your current company?

It will make my business less specialized. My business is less curb appeal and more wow your property looks like it needs to be condemned by mold growth, let me clean that kind of thing.
