So it’s 95 out here. I’ve been getting a lot of requests for roof cleaning this week. But I’m concerned about applying sh in this heat. I know it’s best to apply during active growth, and moss isn’t growing in this. So up to what temperature are you guys continuing to apply sh?
If it’s not too hot to be outside it’s not too hot to clean a roof. On a hot day, I’ll use a slightly weaker mix and keep the roof saturated for twice as long as usual to combat the evaporation. It will take a little longer in the heat, so plan on that.
The most important thing is keeping the plants watered. They will require more water and rinsing then normal, and covering the plants with a tarp when it’s that hot is very dangerous.
Also,most importantly, keep yourself and employee’s hydrated.
