Unger extension poles at Home depo

FWIW

They were on clearance at my HD, not much off, but a 20’ extension (not water fed) was 27 instead of 35. I didn’t like the 12’, seemed flimsy but the 20’ was much sturdier. I will never use it at it’s full extension, but at 10-15’ I think it is stout enough to scrub hard with. The 12’ seemed like it would bend. I don’t know for sure, as I have never used them. I have painting pole extenders, but I want to start keeping them seperate from the chemical ones. I noticed that acid seems to be a little rough on the paint poles. My Purdy wasn’t cheap, no need to ruin it to clean a house.

I use the 20’, fully extended at times, to brush gutters and other problem areas. Bit of a physical workout but they beat climbing a ladder. I think they hold up well especially for the price.

Thanks, good to know.

Ok update on this, they are now $9 and change at home depot from $35 and change. The 12’ are about six fiddy. I bought the last couple they had at mine in the 20’ variety. I gave one to my friend, put another aside for later use, and giving another to another friend. What friend doesn’t like to get free tools.

And they take returns/rebuys. I bought one at 27 that I am taking back to rebuy at $9

Wow, that 20 footer is $43.41 in my town. $27.46 on the 12’

Lucky! These are my main. Haven’t been able to justify a xero trad, but I have an adapter for my wfp for anything over 12 ft anyway.

I think this is the internet number so you can brick seek it in your area 203177326
https://brickseek.com/

If your not familiar with brick seek, never ever call the store (especially walmart) to hold something until you get there and don’t tell the store you used brickseek. I check lowes inventory at the closest 4 stores when they have clearance items I want. I have gotten some amazing deals that way. Some stores, not all, will price match a clearance item at another store, but it varies and make sure to talk to a manager or asst manager (not customer sevice and not the head of the department).

Just make sure you are looking at the clearance version and not the newer version. Anytime lowest or HD clears an item out and replaces it with the same vendors updated model the prices go up.

I roll with the Mr. Long Arms for 2 story scrubbing or scraping (gutters, dirt dobbers, wasps) and Wooster Sherlocks for mid range, solid feel. Also, the spider web dusters are a good add to an extension pole to get chemical to hard to reach areas with minimal weight.

Thanks for the information. I’ve never heard of Brick Seek.

No problem, brick seek and camel camel camel have saved me a lot of money over the years.

Do you do the paid version? It seems really cool, but I think I got notice too late as I just tried it and though the store site said they had what I was looking for they were out. Thanks for sharing these, they are cool!

I’m too frugal to pay :grinning: It’s raining all week and snowing so I have time to waste surfing the nets for deals this week.

Make sure to check neighboring stores with brickseek. In my case I live in the sticks, so if I am going to drive 30-40 minutes to get to one I don’t care which direction I head. My best advice is to search the smallest and less busy store in your area, it will normally have stock when the others are out. The other thing to know is sometimes the stores list it as limited, which means there may be only the display model left.

Lets say I lived in nashville tenn area in this zip, maybe my local store doesn’t have it, but the next town over does. Just hit the check inventory on the link.

Not for PW stuff, but just in general, look up slickdeals. If your in the mindset to buy product “x” set an alert and you will know if it hits your price target or it gets mentioned on the site. As with any internet site caveat emptor, shills lurk everywhere on the nets. Best place to find people listing for less than MAPP pricing…before they get their cease and desist letter.

I use the camel, because the zon is just like sears. Mark the price up to have a sale. The only didfference between the two is that they are online only. I can’t tell you how many times I went to buy something just to see they marked it up the day before and list it as a sale price today. I can wait a couple of days to place an order usually, unless I’m in a hurry for chemicals or something. Just don’t forget to check zon warehouse too, sometimes the same thing has been returned (watch the condition listing) at a much larger discount. Got a nice spider co EDC that way.

One other thing if you interested, and I’m bored, watch the zon, they comingle their supply so that is why they wind up selling knockoffs. So say spider co list their knives and sells on the zon, but so does Joes knife factory. zon will comingle the supply with Joes knife factory and fill online orders. Just so happened that joes knife factory had gotten some knockoffs in their last shipment. Inspect and return if needed.

Thanks for all the good info @Dirtyboy! Good stuff!
