Trailer Build vs. Pre-built Trailer

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,
2017 was my first year in business. I have an 5x8 enclosed trailer with a portable 4gpm, 4,000 psi Briggs and Stratton, 100’ wash hose - reel mounted on a piece of plywood, a garden hose on a 4 wheel cart, buckets-no tank, totes to carry gallon jugs of SH, etc… When I show up at the job site, I belch all my equipment on the customers lawn and drag my gear around their yard. As you all know this is a hack job process as well as very time consuming. Fortunately, I did very well this last season and wrote over 120 invoices. I am in Southern Maryland, it gets cold but not “Midwest” cold. I actually did 2 house washes and a roof wash 3 days before Xmas.
Anyway, it is time to expand and get or build a trailer. I have done tons of research on this site with trailer builds which has been super helpful. Thanks everyone for all of the great info, vids, pics and ideas.
I am wanting to possibly get a hot water system. So the question is, do I build one myself or buy one already built with the specs that I want?
I am really considering buying one already built. This will give me all new equipment and possible warranties. I would like an open trailer so I can fabricate additional structures for a roof system, ladder racks, tool boxes, etc…
Additionally, if I have a trailer built, I can still use my equipment and not lose work while the build is happening.
I just wanted to put it out there and get some advice from y’all. I would really appreciate it!
Also, if someone could recommend a company that can build a trailer for me with a hot water system I would like to get their info from you.
Thanks again everyone and enjoy the holidays!
Andy

Do not pay those inflated prices for someone to build your trailer. Do it yourself and put all your new equipt where you want it. Plus it will give you satisfaction knowing that you built it.

What I did was get some graph paper and draw everything out on it. You need dimensions for all boxes, tanks, reels, washers etc. that way you know how much room you need before you start bolting stuff down.

FrankPeters,
Thanks for your input. I am considering building one for sure.

Good idea the scale graph paper.
