Thoughts on this set up

Interested in feedback on the system over but especially the udor diaphragm pump @Innocentbystander

I have never used one. I don’t do roofs but 10gpm is way to much for a roof wash. It is impractical to use washing a house or any structure with only a 100 gallon tank. I wouldn’t want it but it may be perfect for someone

I’m not wild about the tank set up myself(I prefer a drop stick set up) or the price for that matter but the concept is interesting. Overkill for roof washing but modified or custom built for a house washer was my train of though

Pretty expensive too I’d say. With an old 55 gallon barrel you can build a functional system under $800. Especially if you’re using it infrequently.

I’d likely build something like this if all I was doing was large commercial stucco all day everyday.

Pump alone is 1400 seems like a beast. Not trying to re invent the wheel or anything here just seemed like an interesting concept.

Those suck for roof cleaning. Just like your Pressure washer. When you let go of the trigger it goes into bypass. Turning your chem tank turns into a foam party. Not to mention 10gpm will do nothing but waist chem and your grounds guy will never be able to keep up

What he said☝!! Plus if u draw out of a different tank u will have to swap the bypass hose to!! U will hate it

Didn’t even think of the bypass. Eek

First, the price is too high. Can get comparable systems for around $3500. All the distributors sell them. You can also get a lot more compact systems.I’m seriously thinking about that type of system for my next roof cleaning system. In fact if I had room on trailer I’d have one now.

The only disadvantage is that you have to bypass by to whatever you’re pulling. So you have to use a bulk tank setup. But you can set up good 3 way valves to adjust where you’re pulling from so if you want to pull water for rinsing just switch the valve. You throttle down the flow with your tips and all have a variable flow rate.
The best thing about them is they’ll easily shoot about 50’. You can buy just the engine and pump on a base for around $1600. I haven’t heard particular good things on the Udor Zeta pumps and I won’t get on a system if I get one.

Yikes he has the price of an all flow diaphragm in ball valves and fittings. And it will shoot 50 ft:grinning::grinning:
