They are fine. But, now she needs a new car. She wants a Rouge. I’m no nissan fan. All the crossover/suv/ what ever they are calling them now seem the same to me. Any thoughts or insights on what your wifes/you drive. We only have 1 child, shes 7 so space isant really an issue. Thoughts and opinion appreciated.
I have an 08 nissan frontier. Great work truck amd very reliable plus lots of power for a mid size truck. We also have a 2017 Hyundai Sanota. It’s an awesome car. I’m 6’3" amd I fit in there no problem. Used to have a nissan Altima and my head touched the roof with a baseball cap on. I hated that thing.
Honda and Toyota are buy far the most reputable manufacturers with the most brand loyal customers. You will rarely see one traded in for a different brand . That says a lot .not to mention the slowest depreciation of any brands. Acura and Lexus follows the same guidelines except for the resale part. VW used to be but they have been sliding down in quality over the last several years.
I’m glad shes alright. My lady has a 16 Ford Escape. Rides great, mileage is great and its quick. I’m 6’2 240 and I feel great driving it. Lots of room too
Insurance will pay out less if they total it…pay you under value then turn around and sell it at an auction for a few thousand. Some cases it is a scam…
Find out what exactly she likes about the Rogue. Then find Toyota or Honda’s closest match to those features.
My wife had her heart set on a second gen CRV. Or so I thought. Turned out, it was just the closest vehicle she knew of that matched her preferences in style and features. In the end we discovered that the first gen Rav more closely matched her wishlist for a vehicle, but she just didn’t know about it, and it was off my radar due to the age.
Most women don’t look at cars the same way men do. They don’t fall in love with a brand, typically. It’s about features, looks, and (perceived) practicality.
We had a 2015 Suburu forester we just traded in on a new truck since I do all the driving anyway. We loved it and the fuel mileage was excellent. 24 at the least and up to 33 on the highway. We do plan on replacing it with a Toyota Highlander in the spring. They have double pane windshields which really cut down on the road noise. Personally I’d look at both of those as an option.
That was the last dealership I worked at. The optima and the Sonata are very nice cars for the price. We bought a little Elantra limited that had every option available for much less than Nissan and Toyota. My son fell asleep driving one night ramped a ditch and came back out spinning on the highway and never got a scratch on him. One meaningful piece of advice I can offer on any new car is unless you’re in a good equity position purchase the gap protection. We we a little upside down due our previous car and they paid off what the insurance did not. It’s not that expensive.
I work for carmax full time so I have no bias in terms of sales. You cant go wrong with toyota, honda or Subaru. They hold their value the best and last forever. The also has great safety ratings.
