Generally stays busy here till early to mid December. People want to get stuff done for holidays. I stock up work when we’re swamped like now, things like deck cleaning and staining or driveways. It’s easy to convince people to wait till November after the leaves have fallen to do large drives. Do them now and in 3 weeks they’ll have leaf and tanin stains on them if many trees around.

Yes, but the competitors soon caught up. Haven’t seen much difference in the looks of the deer around here.

Local head of safety for WIU today tragically died in a hunting accident. Reports say “he leaped 20 foot out of a tree with a 7 foot spear in a failed attempt to harvest a deer” he is survived by his loving wife who stated “he’s such an idiot”

I have a treaty with the deer near me. They don’t attack my home and I don’t shoot them.
But I will say, Mallards, crows and dove give my house a wide margin.

Deer gun season comes in next Sat and I have to wash a shop and a store front this week…after that I will work a little, but not much. I lost a lot of my deer season to this last year…not gonna happen again. Matter of fact, I am not really planning to pursue any business until after Christmas. I am going to try something a little different then and see if that works better for me and the way I want to do things.

Lol I used to save up every bit of personal, sick time and vacation time for deer season. Heck I’d come in sick as a dog just so I didnt have to use sick time. Just to hunt as much as I could during the rut.
