Tank gods finally came through!

For what it’s worth, there is a company in CA that will put a 4x8 aluminum flat bed on a Tundra for about 5k. (You have to drive the truck out there though) May be an option for the fortunate Tundra owners.

After 2008 the towing capacity jumps up to 10,000 pounds. And if you add a leaf you can typically get 2000 or better out of payload.

Here’s the company that sells those beds:

You can get up to a 10’ bed on a regular cab Tundra!

@SchertzServicesLLC Sorry to have hijacked this thread…I’m done, I promise!

We can come back to the tank. I need to celebrate getting two shocks on and 8 spark plugs out without breaking any. Only took 3 evenings after washing… and seafoam in the fuel and throttle body. And hot soaking them in PB blaster twice in 48 hours.

Well, a man’s gotta celebrate a victory, I guess. :+1:

I spoke too soon. Had to cut the rear shocks out. @SchertzServicesLLC are you a daddy again yet. I need something to celebrate

My shop is across from a busy auto repair shop in town (same place I take my trucks). In the last 4 years I have seen every year, make and model of truck imaginable over there being worked on including Tundras, Nissan Titan’s, and Honda Ridgelines. I’ve seen a $40,000 Sierra sitting over there that was out of warranty needing a $12,000 motor replacement, and a Dodge Ram diesel that even the dealer couldn’t find the vibration in the motor. When my mechanic friend found it, it was a $3,500 repair on a 6 year old truck.

I personally had a two Chevy’s blow intake manifold gaskets and hydrolock the engines, sending rods through the block. I waved my last Sillverado goodbye as it rode off on a trailer, threw away my Chevy “bowtie” hat and will never buy another GM product. However my mechanic friend says I’m being dumb, because he says that every car, every year, every make, and every model has or will have problems if it is a vehicle, and especially if it is a work vehicle.

Thank you all!

I admire your setup every time I see it. Good work. I’m still throwing stuff in my box trailer. Nothing mounted, just some shelves, and stuff hanging on a wall. Can’t get a break or find the time. Maybe during this off season I’ll be looking back at these threads.

I waited 2 and half months for my last ace roto mold tank to show up. I ordered through rural king, and I’m in central iowa. In the past I’ve had one show up in 3 days.
