You only need 1/2 if you go to 10 gpm. A lot of folks in the Florida area do it. They is a shady vendor down there that promotes it. It doesn’t hurt anything, but nothing is gained by it except a little pressure.

Is it necessary no. Does it help with the injector ? I little bit it definitely helps if you need to add another 100 ft and still be able to DS . It’s definitely not needed for less than 8gpm . I mainly do it because I’m been doing this way for a while. It works for me so that’s enough reason to keep doing it.

The injectors now are much better than the use to be. When I started using 1/2 hose to help . Now I’m just stubborn
