Snow day in Georgia

If any of y’all more northern/colder climate guys were wondering, this here is what a snow day in Georgia looks like. Yes, they actually cancelled schools and closed down government offices for this. Can’t wait to let the kids outside so they can go make snow angels.

You all remember this day before you make fun of our 100 degree heat advisory’s up north!

Did you see that weather forecaster in Florida telling folks how to prepare for 53° like it was below freezing?

I did! I’m going streaking tonight in -40 weather!

Well, that was a bit more info than necessary… whatever floats your boat, or freezes your pond I guess lol!

It was a joke to really emphasize how big of babies the southern folks are…

Best part of all this is when they say to watch out for black ice overnight in Atlanta. Radio announcers kinda slur those 2 words into one, and, well, you get the idea lol!

The sad part is, being a Floridian, I am forced to roll my eyes at the “weather announcements”. I don’t know if I’m just a northerner at heart, but in 53 degree weather, I’m in sandals, shorts and a t-shirt.

Folks around here can get just as bad sometimes, though there seems to be a lot more of the shorts with a sweatshirt type until it hits freezing. Could just be a preppy upper middle class millennial thing though.

I remember as a 10 year old kid in New Smyrna being truly concerned when some visitors from New England were outside on lounge chairs in shorts and tank tops in the middle of December…It was only 60 degrees out and I thought they were gonna die from the cold!

I work for the fire department and was called in the night before our “snow day”. As I was driving under one of those light up signs it flashed " Winter Weather Warning"… my car said temp was 62 degrees…
