Should I be using a pressure washer hose reel for roof pump?

I have a 7gpm roof pump system running through 1/2 inch hose to a regular pressure washing hose reel, I was wondering since the hose reel is 3/8 if it will affect the flow?

You are restricting your flow to much get a true 1/2 reel. Or keep that reel since you gotta unroll it all anyway and just make your connections

Are you sure there arent removable adapters that you can, well, remove. Some are like that and startout at 1/2in.

What kind of reel is it. A lot of guys run titan reels with stainless steel guts

If you are going to get a new reel buy a hannanay reel dont wast your money on anything else.

Hannay even for a roof set up? I was curious about this. Ive read hannay isnthe best pressure reel just wasnt sure if it would work for stronger chems. You can’t beat the price on those reels from sprayer depot

The threads are 1/2 but on Amazon it says 3/8, but my pressure hose also connects with 1/2 but it’s a 3/8 hose, so I just used a 1/2 thread to 1/2 Barb for the 1/2 hose

I’m using a similar gp reel for supply. Lube the lock pin and thread lock the handle bolt. I find thst is important things to do on these type of reels. A 100ft hose fits nicely on mine.

For my roof pump I use a Yard Butler Steel Swivel hose reel. Great pressure, lifetime warranty and really lightweight.
