For everyone who has set up/mounted all their equipment in a open or enclosed trailer, would you do it again yourself, or would you pay someone locally to set up all your stuff?
my unit gets here this week and the trailer is getting rhino lined Tuesday. I know I can mount everything myself, just want to make sure it’s done right, plus the time factor… Kinda makes me want to pay someone to of it for me… Thoughts?
If you do it yourself, plan it out, take your time, secure everything very well…utilize the most space you can…you can’t go wrong…I’m glad I set mine up.
100% would do it myself again - it’s a lot of work, but at the end of the day you’re the one that will be working out of it every day so you can’t beat being in complete control of your setup!
If Russ Johnson or someone like him was within a half a days drive and his shop rate was not more than $125.00 an hour, shop it would be. We have all of the tools, as in, all. It’s fun but life is busy and fixing to get busier.
I wanted to have the truck ready to roll March first. It’s not ready yet. It’s too cold to wash and were not losing money yet but we could be setting up to sell more while the people that have set up hundreds of trucks/trailers set ours up.
Edit to add; I just sold another small townhouse complex so that makes it easier to pretend I would spend the money.
I build mine myself. It took me all Saturday to do it. It was fun, last year I’ve learned what works and what not. I’m reorganizing my trailer next weekend. I just can’t make myself to pay somebody several hundreds to do it, I enjoy it to much
I personally be leave that doing it yourself allows you to trouble shoot when something fails. Putting it together gives you a better understanding of taking it apart.
