Set up Progression 4 to 5.5GPM

Im upgrading from a 4/4 to a 5.5 GPM rig that will be operated out of my truck for the upcoming season. I am following @TexasPressureWashing beginner list. I currently work at a marina and have been using my paychecks to work my way down the list. So far I have purchased reels, 200ft of garden hose, 200ft of pressure hose, chem tank, drop stick kit, hi draw injector, etc (about $1500 in new equip.)… so that I am able to operate with the 4/4 for time being but making progress towards transitioning to 5.5 and completing rig. Holding off on gx390, envirospec TSB5638G pump, buffer tank, plumbing kit, zk1 unloader, and other misc parts until I am able to afford (maybe another month).

Is it a bad idea to begin setting up the rig with 4/4 for time being? I guess my question is will these new parts work with 4/4 as I want to start to get a feel for plumbing and rig set up. I don’t see why it would not but want to double check before putting everything together.

This is my 2nd year of operation. Had great success last year and many people are referring me. Only doing residential work. Have LLC , Insurance, and Facebook account. Currently working on website, new business cards, yard signs, uniform, etc…

Hopefully I can have everything done by April 1st which is when the season should start to take off.

Set it up now. Nothing will change when you switch over. Just plug your whip hose into new machine and you’ll be good to go.

Thanks. Will need 2 whip with 5.5 correct? pump to unloader block and unloader to injector?

Probably, depends on how you set up. Most put their injector right next to reel.
