Machine shop. Years of funk, gunk and shavings. Degrease; Dwell; turbo nozzle to sweep away shavings and then finish with a surface cleaner. Client did not want hot water as I was gonna rent a Hotsy trailer to leave it but they did not want to proceed. Will make do w cold water and lots of fun. Will post after pics
Where is that metal filled, oily, gunky water going?
In 5 gallon buckets. Client is responsible for disposal.
Be sure to post some âafterâ picsâŠbe interesting to see how that mess cleans up with no hot water.
Current waste haul. Halfway to greatness Thereâs a semi before and after. Client is satisfied w simple degrease and pressure wash.
Lol. Right.
Why donât they want you to use hot water?
Iâd have to rent the machine at an additional cost. I gave âem options and they are satisfied with this result.
Love the grind but looks like scenes from a horror movie
Hope ur making a good coin off this. Id never do a job like this lol
Howâs it going in the machine shop mate? Good to see someone having a go at a job most would pass up.
I reckon its a good learning experience tackling nasty jobs as u really find out what works and what doesnât and what u would do different next time .
Job went well for the most part. I did the entire floor with turbo nozzle and pre mopped with Zep degreaser which helped some. It was my understanding we would just spray the place down and I had no idea of the thick tar-like build up mixed with metal shavings stuck to the floor nor waste disposal. It was for a relative so payment was so-so and he helped out with the shop vac and disposal of waste. For the next time I do a machine shop I would absolutely rent a hot water unit, that is if I donât already buy one, and rent a reclaim system that pumps out into a tote some distance away and a surface cleaner/vac hook up combo.
