Schedule tactics

If your chamber of commerce is like mine you’ll be wasting time, breath, and energy for negative return. No one at mine wants anything from anyone else except to sell them something.

Sounds like no fun!..I definitely don’t want to waste money lol

I think you can go to the networking events for free you just have to deal with them calling once a week to see if you want to pay them to be in the directory

Yea, that’s a legit concern. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about scaling capabilities if ever needed. I’m not prepared, but I would gladly accept the challenge. As long as I could have two weeks to implement it.

They’re pretty laid back over here. A lot of large companies are involved as well as small ones. At least one social event every week. A parking lot striping company I do work for said he’s done well by joining the chamber.

The president of Nola chamber is in my BNI group

But my assumptions could be totally wrong. Won’t know until I try

I feel like I’m kind of stuck. I work a full time job that requires being on call and 3 hrs of required overtime every two weeks.
I have my commercial account that keeps me fairly busy…with the option to take on 5 or 6 more stores an hour away from me(if I want them) and I do a couple of Residential ones here and there…word of mouth only…I do no advertising at all with the exception of handing out business cards and I wear company shirts and jackets all the time.
I would like for my business to eventually be the Rotarooter or the Bud light of the pressure washing industry in this area. I want my name to be known and recognized as the goto guys for all commercial work big and small with competitive prices that keep us all afoat without killing the market by under charging…how to get your name known without over extending yourself with advertising…just keep plugging along doing what I’m doing…good work at fair prices and do what you say your going to do when you say your going to do it…

I myself prefer rescheduling to weekends…but I usually communicate with my two guys to see what works for best for them before setting a reschedule date. This year I’ll have 4 employees and will definitely complicate things when it comes to rescheduling…so hopefully not to many of those days.

Leave your day time job and go all in 100%.

Won’t be able to scale quick if your spending 40 hours a week on someone else’s business

That’s been my not to distant plan…the property that I work on by industry standards should sell to another company in the next 6 monthes to 3 years…and that will put me out of a job unless I go work for another company…my plan was to pay off our house which we did 2 years ago…pay off all of the rest of our bills…which is done now…get some money saved up for emergencies and retirement…and slowly build up with some better equipment for the business…
And when the company I work for sells the property I work on I’ll take my $$$ bonus sale package for being there for 10 years…I’ll ride off Into the sunset and be 100% in on my pressure washing company…with no bills and hopefully a small fleet of equipment😁
