Roof Pump/Transfer Pump

So this will be my first 12V system. I apologize if this is a really stupid question. I couldn’t find an answer in search. Is it possible to add a quick connect before the hose reel so that way I can also use it as a transfer pump. I would like to be able to have my supplier load a 55 gallon drum on the tailgate, and then just be able to quick transfer to my mix tank. Is this a bad idea? Will have a quick connect hurt the pump at all?

Shaun at power wash store of Nashville has a video of that set up I think. I think I saw it on they’re Facebook page but don’t hold me to that

Better off using camlocks.QC are all metal or brass both will rust solid pretty quick

That’s what I saw on the video. It was a nice set up

For warning. Camlocks use rubber seal and are more prone to leaking especially if you wiggle them

Mine’s probably not perfect, but I use a three way valve out of the Delavan pump with one direction to my delivery hose, and one to a shorter hose that I use to fill the SH barrel on the back or any other reason I might need to deliver water, SH, or mix from my mix tank. I originally set it up primarily to pump water from my buffer tank to my water filtration system for window cleaning. Also, I have set my battery up to charge through the 7 way from my truck to the trailer so that I needn’t concern myself with charging every time I use the system. I just LOVE that!
