Roof pitch

What’s up guys. This is my first time asking a question here and I’m looking for some guidance. I’ve been researching roof cleaning for a bit and hope to get a 12v system soon so I can offer it to people. My question has to do with pricing though. I know people don’t like to discuss pricing so I won’t ask what you charge personally. I also know a lot of guys go by sq ft. My question is do you have a system you use when it comes to the pitch. Like if it’s a 7/12 would you charge x more per sq ft than a 6/12? Or do you just eyeball it? I Hope that makes sense and everybody’s having a good day. Thanks!

P.S. I’m typing this on a break at work so I probably won’t get to any replys until 5 or so.

Personally, I don’t just go by square footage of the roof. There’s so much other stuff that would affect my pricing (heavy moss vs black streaks, gutters or not, etc). Never quoted a roof without seeing it first, and once I do see it I just figure out how long it would take me and price accordingly.

That makes sense. I guess I’ll just toss some prices out in the beginning and see what the markets like around me. Thank you sir.

I just look at on Google and measure sq feet and then multiply by the pitch to get real footage. If under a lot of trees where I can’t see clearly then will usually go look at. Most the time, especially if a lot of angles or the house has a lot of landscaping like to look at so I can plan my plant protection and how best to do the house.

Thanks Racer,
I should’ve posted this in newbie questions lol, but when you say look at Google to measure sq ft how are you doing that? I know sometimes the square footage of the house will pop up when you google the address but I’m not sure how to get the sq ft of the roof from maps. Can you break it down for me? Also when you multiply by pitch do you mean if it’s a 6/12 you would multiply sq ft by .5?

Google " how to measure in google maps There are videos and everything. For future reference, we’re all pretty busy so if you can find answers by a simple online search, try that first
