Plan is to hit with about 4% SH solution, let sit, hit again then turbo nozzle (lots of moss not in pic). Any suggestions or chemical recommendations on how to get the white off? Assume its efflorescence.
Any acid should take care of it. This was a brick wall I did recently that was just a 50/50 mix of aluminum brightener
Aluminum brighter or f9 Efflo
Generally speaking, if you mist it with water and it disappears it is efflo. If it doesn’t disappear, it could be calcite or white scum. This isn’t directed at you Qons, just thought I’d put it on here for the new people.
If Efflo I like the f9 Efflo product first but many guys use the aluminum acid, but need to mix yourself, kinda trial and error.
Is there a ratio most start at with the Aluminum Brightener?
Some guys do 50/50…
I keep a spray bottle of about 30/70 aluminum brightener to water for general touch-ups. Rust around a spigot, black streaks under windows etc. For efflo removal, I go more 50/50.
