Recirculate water thru cooling tank

I’m just replying to you in hopes that I see the answer to your question when it comes in, because I’m not 100% sure myself.

I believe that your PSI will still be 2500 out of both nozzles (if you have the right size nozzles) and only your GPM will be divided by two. I could be wrong though, so I look forward to seeing someone else answer. This is a great thread you’ve started!

You’re right… psi stays the same and depends on the nozzles… gpm will be divided by however many nozzles you have

The AR 4g40rsv will pull water quite well. Not all direct drives will, but not all won’t either.

My 16” works well with it.

At one point last year I needed to run a second direct drive machine from a supply tank. It only had one output, so I took one of those crappy short green garden hoses and popped it in the top of the tank. It would actually suck water all the way from the bottom of the IBC tote, even when the tote was nearly empty. I could not replicate it this year though. (Not that I needed to, I was just doing it for curiosity.)

Its been a little while, but finally, called enviro spec, and got a 6.3 gpm, with a gear box, just got it plumbed in and it really looks like what I need for now, and I really appreciate you guys sharing your knowledge. However I failed to add the spacers and that caused a oil leak on the “gear drive pinion seal” inside the gear box". Caught it quick no problem, now if someone could share with me the spec’s on the gear box fluid, i.e. weight, I would really appreciate it.

I did the same when I built my gear drive. I smoked my gearbox though. I ran it like that for 3 months till it completely crapped out.

If I remember correctly, in your case it was because the driveshaft for the predator was longer? But it seems like @Pw2020 is using a gx390 - does that mean that the spacers are always necessary then?

Edit: @Clean_Blue

Now you guys are making me second guess my gearbox install. What/where are these spacers?

Yes. In my case the Predator shaft was too long and busted through the back of the geardrive. The spacers corrected on my new gearbox.

The spacers are gold.

Oh ok, I seem to remember those.:+1:

Enviro Spec sent spacers with the pump and gear box, having knowledge I had a gx390, however they advised the spacers are sometimes thicker depending on the length of the output shaft

Thank you both @Clean_Blue and @Pw2020 for confirming, I actually had it in my bookmarks already, but must have forgotten.

Maybe @TexasPressureWashing can confirm if the udor gearbox on the gx690 is installed with spacers as well?

I cannot as it came assembled. I don’t think there are spacers with it.
