Ready to start configuring the trailer

I gitcha on the dirty thing look. But its not even ready for that yet. Its heavy duty trailer. In the near future I will be putting on 3500lb adjustible torsion axles. Ill move the wheels rearward a bit. And the floor will be redone, which at that point Ill weld in some more framework.

I’m for the idea of painting it white too. Please reconsider that.

From a customer’s mindset: “is the guy who shows up in a worn out looking trailer going to have the same worn out equipment inside it and will his job look like his trailer?”

I’m not saying any of that is true but that’s a normal perception of many customers. It’s your first impression that you are trying to build a business on.

Not trying to be mean or insulting but I have been responsible for curb appeal in small business locations and a fresh clean appearance always helps. It would look amazing compared to now with a days work of quick sanding, cleaning, priming and eggshell white paint. Paint the inside white with a roller since its empty. How will you ever get the inside to match the outside once you install everything?

Dont rush for the sake of getting it done. Get an idea of cost to paint it white from a body shop and see if you can find a local one to barter with cleanings. Maybe you can clean the outside of the shop and the owners house. Be creative and find solutions. Its imperative to succeed in business.

Good luck. I hope you find a way!

None taken, unfortunately you guys are right. But i realize that. I’m thinking POR-15 Eggshell. Lower half with aluminum diamond tread plate.
I just dont know what the best configuration will be because i may not always carry water and the landa is heavy. Plus ill have extra machines in there and stuff. Basically the rear half is only big enough for the tote, and may somewhat empty most of the time.

Is the landa unit ok where its at, even if tote empty? Is tote ok where its at when somewhat filled(275gal, not a 325)?

It will probably be once you put some weight in the front and water in the tanks.

What size axle is on there right now?
With a 500+ lbs machine and if you where to fill that tank up (2200lbs) plus the weight of the trailer it self (over 1k lbs) your already pushing a 3500lbs axel. This is before anything else goes in the trailer.

You may want to put a smaller buffer tank in there, there really is no need for these huge buffers unless you haul water.

Yep, I’m gonna look for a smaller buffer tank, or just expect to not carry much water until then. Which means to also be extremely efficient.
