Will this job take long? Just disposing of all leaves, and pressure cleaning the 30m2 surface under the leaves. I think I can do it pretty quickly but many people are telling me it will take 8hours due to the gutters. TIA!

What I’ve learned over the years is everything in this world is relative.

Will this job take long? Compared to visiting all the Buc-ees in the country - then no, it’s quick

This is a vague, not thought out question. Try again and ask a question that will give you an informative answer.

Ok well, from what I can see there is a brick paver patio under that mess, with associated grass and moss growth. I did a similar patio in 2020, took roughly 2.5 hours with all the associated weedeating and turbo nozzle use.

Thanks for a reply with actual info lol. Would you happen to have the experience to give me a rough guess on those gutters. Looks pretty hectic to me and from what I’ve heard, roof gutters can be pretty time consuming. Thanks!

I don’t clean out gutters so no help to you there.

If you have a leaf blower and a ladder i think you could get the clearing leaves and gutters part done relatively quick. then call a priest to bless those pavers and use a turbo nozzle and i think youd be squared away.

I agree that this is too vague of a post. There’s no scale of the size of building, lot to be cleaned or mention of your equipment you have at your disposal. Could take two hours, could take 12. There’s lots of things to take into consideration. To name a few:

  • you’ll likely being cleaning those gutters by hand. You’ll need to dump that crap into a pail or something similar while up on the ladder or throw it on the ground to clean up later.

  • if it’s rained within the past week, prepare for mud to be in the base of those gutters. And when you wash/blow them out with any kinds of pressure, it’s going to splatter everywhere. Good chance you’ll be washing down the side of the building as well. Same with if you are doing the cement pad under the overhang. Account for your time and water to wash the walls down.

  • don’t know about your part of the world, but when I clean gutters in this condition where I’m at, I can guarantee that I am going to be pulling ants, roaches, wasps, etc out of there. Frogs, spiders and possibly even a snake would not be unheard of.

  • be prepared to dispose of leaves and such gathered from gutters. If you plan of already disposing of leaves in yard you may already have that covered. But if you were just going to mulch leaves in yard, this may not work.

  • I’m assuming this is the back side of a business, but if it’s the front, you’ll need to find a time where you are not interrupting any flow of traffic in and out the doorway.

  • a heavy post treatment on those pavers will be your friend. But you have to be able to keep foot traffic off of that area until it dries.

When I used to clean out gutters, I got called to a nasty job like that. There were full blown tomato plants, complete with two varieties of tomatoes. I’ve also seen a lot of maple saplings, one was about 4’ tall. And no kidding about the ants and wasps, yikes.

Yes, plenty of saplings! But never any tomatoes that I’ve come across…yet…
