Quick post, my new Pressure washer

Whats everyones thoughts on this setup. Just assembled it all today. Still need a couple parts. Supply hose reel no functioning, just keeps it neat. Pressure hose reel rated up to 5100, i only need 4400. Does anyone have this rig or have had it? Thanks everyone, still bringing up my reading and research on here. Appreciate all feedback. Oh, I haven’t used it yet, as i haven’t had any paid jobs yet.

I’m also going to have it strapped in the bed of my truck, and won’t be removing as the whole setup is easily over 200lbs.

What are the specs on that baby pump?

4 gpm, 4400 psi, belt driven pump

It will make you money. :grinning:

So I don’t want to assume but I want to point out you don’t need 4400PSI for anything you’re cleaning (99% of the time).

Do you have a surface cleaner?

Yeah I do, not a nice rig with handles and what not. But I had old machine that was 2000psi and it wasn’t good enough to run the surface cleaner i had. I picked it up at lowes around 150. Ultimately, ill get a nicer one, like a whisper maybe. But need to start letting money come in first. I’m going with a bigger pressure company in the next few days to learn about roofs and softwash systems. Im just excited to have a decent machine and setup so far.

You would be well suited to throw the pressure hose, pressure reel, pump, unloader and wheels away before you load it into your truck. If a vendor sold you that, you should never buy from him again.

I meant, that my PW was 4400, and the reel could handle 5100. I saw some on here only used the reel to store, not actually hooked up

Yes I was following that. Just wanted to make sure you didn’t etch a driveway using 25020 tips with 4400PSI right off the bat. What tips does your surface cleaner have on it?

Good idea learning from someone.

You know, im not really sure whats on the SC. Theyre smaller than the tips that go into the gun. I saw on one topic you can switch them out… this is the SC. Doesnt say in description. Is there an easy way to determine what tips I have on the SC?

Yeah, its alot of psi, I have a pressure guage and there is a valve to turn down the pressure built in to the PW.

Oh man, looks similar to my setup when I started in 2018…you know, back in the day.

Seriously though, skip that Lowes surface cleaner. I started with one, it was…dangerous. Try and get a Whisper Was Ultra Clean soon as you can so the nozzles can be adjusted down to about 2500 psi.

I’d recommend you look at the tips. Not knowing means you’re likely to be putting max pressure down. I’d order the correct tips at a minimum, and a new surface cleaner asap.

This is the one @dcbrock mentioned https://whisperwashonline.com/product/whisper-wash-ultra-clean-surface-cleaner-16/

Don’t do it, don’t touch the unloader valve unless you’re setting it up for the first time. After that don’t touch it. Read all you can on this forum. Seriously, read more

Alright. Can you give me specific topic, or just search for unloaded valve and read. Which I’m doing now lol

First off congrats on your desire to start a business. I’m not trying to be a downer but if you are serious about this I would return the machine and read old posts on this forum every day for minimum 3 months. In that time, your way of thinking about your setup will change drastically. Even if you don’t start taking on jobs until the Fall you’ll be ahead of where you are now by not wasting money or experiencing mistakes that could cost you your young business. Live by the 5 “P” rule. You should at least know how to set up and maintain your equipment before you start washing.

I think it’s kind of cute. It’ll do the job starting out, but agree, don’t get that cheapo surface cleaner, just wasting money. Where’s you get that frame? I’d like to have that setup too keep at home for washing my trucks and cars.

Thank you… Yes i ordered a whisper last night, i knew id have to order one eventually. Esp with reading here, i didnt want to have more problems by not using decent SC.

The frame and washer ordered through Lowes, again i havent used it yet, but im overall pleased with what i see. Ill be using it this week, cant wait…
