Pro Tips (tricks of the trade)

I #2 in the morning and for #1’s I finally discovered using a big mouth bottle (like a Yerba mate glass bottle) and hide between the doors of the truck. Then just dump it somewhere. Rinse it out with the ball valve I ran to the rear bumper from buffer for filling up buckets and what not.

  1. Wear the proper PPE
  2. I do maintenance on my equipment every Monday or Tuesday. Pick a day make a list.Maintenance is way cheaper than repairs
  3. Always be on time
  4. If you have two you only have one. If you have one you have none
  5. Never cut corners your reputation is worth to much
  6. Always set a reasonable expectation. It is easier to tell them what will happen then trying to explain why it happened

When you are looking to buy equipment call and speak to someone instead of online orders as much as possible. You are able to get better deals on shipping costs and equipment costs by negotiating on the phone. You also build better connections with vendors. Saves $100’s.

Learn to say no… don’t offer every service under the sun. Stick to what your good at and the money will flow.

This coming from a guy who does pressure washing, box building, snow removal, tree trimming and removal, mulch bed installs and a butt load of mowing… I know how to say no… just not when the Waltons call :joy:

I have been so busy. Lots of irons in the fire. Working on our line of slid in truck skids, and our own pressure washers. And I have been arguing with the Facebook groups.
