Plumbing Resources

I recently got my 8GPM@3500 machine after several issues with the vendor and shipping, it’s a great feeling to finally have all of the equipment I need to start my build. I plan on having an air diaphragm setup for my softwashing w/ it’s own tank where I batch mix and then for rinsing and flatwork I plan on using my 8GPM with a 65gal (planning on going higher because of the amount of wells around me).

I was wondering what you guys used as resources for plumbing when you first got your builds put together aside from the forum. I have a bunch of diagrams saved to my computer & I remember quite a bit from the forum from last year so I’m going to be reading a lot more. Thanks for any suggestions.

You’d be surprised what is available on Amazon.

Buy your first round of plumbing locally and in person so you can explain what your doing and you’ll know what to ask for and order online next time. There’s nothing more aggravating than explaining plumbing through email or phone, the words are coming out but nothing is hitting home lol.

Yeah, I think my local hardware store is going to hate me with the amount of returns I’m going to be making lol.

Never return plumbing fittings and always buy more than you need. If you think you need a straight fitting, buy it plus a 45 and a 90 and keep whatever you don’t use. You can never have too many fittings. If you don’t need it now, guarantee you’ll need it at come point.

I walk into rural king with parts in my hand sometimes and go to the plumbing section for ag, not the plumbing section for houses (although they do have parts you will need for certain things). I dry fitted a lot of stuff up in that store, bought what I thought I would need and some extras. If they don’t have what I need I got the .2 miles to tractor supply and see if they do. Between the two I can usually get what I need, but sometimes it is amazon or nothing. I live in the boondocks, so I don’t ever want to ride to a store for one part.
