Pest control stain

I got a call from a pest control company. This stain was left on this home owner new deck. They said the new guy didn’t mix the solution correctly. Any ideas for cleaning?

I’d try scrubbing one board with water and detergent first, before using anything more likely to react. The internet says never use soap on insecticide stains, only detergents

Some insecticides have oils in them so you might have to use a degreaser. You’ll probably end up having to do the whole deck because that area is going to look really clean. I’d try regular SH and oxalic first. The brightening might help with the stain. If that doesn’t work I would try a degreaser. Sodium Hydroxide might do the trick too if need be. You’ll likely have to spray the whole deck so it’ll look the same, though.

Thanks for the info. I’ve tried SH and that didnt help. The deck is only a few months old. I will try oxalic next

I’d skip the oxalic. It won’t remove the stain. I was just thinking more of “brightening” if there was a shadow left after being cleaned. I would try a degreaser or even just Sodium Hydroxide.
