Man… wife has been wanted new frig (cause ice maker broke) and i dont want to spend money on parts to attempt a fix again. Ice maker seems like it could cost me a kitchen remodel as these ideas keep snowballing. I knew kitchen make overs werent exactly cheap… but holy cannoli.
Cabinets, counters, yeah i get it… but refrigerator prices are insane. Why does someone need a frig that connects to wifi???

They have countertop ice machines. my sister in law has one and it makes the best ice.
I have never understood the need for ice on demand lol. I may use some ice a few times during the summer months, but that’s it. Couple trays of ice cubes in the freezer meets the demand here. But I also have a standalone water dispenser since we aren’t on city water that is chilled.
I have been looking at fridges that have the freezer party on the bottom so I don’t have to stoop over everytime I go in it, but you are right: fridge prices are stupid once you go out of the standard unit.
I dont like ice… she does and we make a few trays here and there. But buying replacement parts aint happening.
Gotta keep her happy, im sure most understand… there is no way im spending $1500 on a frig though

Bourbon is the only need i have for ice… i like water that cold from the sink. Ice gets in the way of drinking.
Buy an ice machine for the garage. I’ve been looking for one for weeks… we spent 150 bucks on ice last month.
The Pop Tart instructions bit from that same show is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.

We paid 1900 for our French Door bottom freezer SS Samsung. Itsgot a built in defect in the drain deicer. Every 8 months you have pull everything out of it pull the shelves and inside back cover and clear the drain tube. Pain in the behind.
Usually HD has some good deals in their clearance section . Worth checking out , also the white and black fridges are cheaper than SS

I just got lucky on the Columbus day sale, 26.5 cubic’ for $1,100 after tax, pics coming, soon as they deliver from sears home town store, I’m so excited ! This is big for us , We don’t buy nothing, Unless it makes money,never had a built in ice maker before ! 
You mean no more having a horse drawn wagon deliver a big block of ice to your ice cellar?
Dang block ice is over $2 a bag now ! So I improvised…
I can hang a 1/4 beef, hole hog and put 2 deer in here. Even got a rabbit n squirrel crisper !
